Question from a non WestJeter.
Did your CEO get a "top up" to match his compensation package to his peers in the US just like Air Canada's CEO did (12 million)?

Re: Documents required for Air Canada interview
Apparently, Air Canada also requires you to print your Transport Canada file that shows history of all your PPC's (passed or failed), and written exams grades (ppl, cpl, atpl etc). Interesting... So if you failed a ride or a written exam, you can't get in AC anymore? I failed my ppl on the first atte...

$10 fare
Flair has been advertising some crazy fares, including $10 yyc-yeg, taxes in.
The AIF in YYC is $35, then add on security fees etc.
How can they sell fares at $10. By the time the agent walks to the gate they have lost money.

Re: Carbon tax announced December 2020
With all the hype of EV, when will the electricity for EVs be taxed to pay for road infrastructure? When EVs out number gas cars, where will the road tax come from.?

Is there actually anyone considering voting yes on this pile of garbage?
I can't believe the negots/MEC put this out to the membership.
I am completely embarrassed to be an ACPA member right now and apologise to the rest our fellow aviators in Canada on lowering the bar (again) for everyone.

Re: COVID MOA 2
I once heard one could leave ACPA you can quit ACPA any time you want...however "In Canada, the union dues paid by all workers in a unionized workplace flow to certified unions as a result of a Supreme Court Decision from 1946, known as the Rand Formula." i.e you will still pay union dues Well that...

Re: COVID MOA 2
Serious question... Can one opt out of a union in Canada? I once heard one could leave ACPA, but they would have to donate the same amount of their dues to charity. Any truth to that? I truly believe that ACPA does not exist to represent the best needs of it's members. The handling of this MOA is al...

Re: COVID MOA 2
Wasn’t the 10 year deal made for times like this? We gave up so much during the best times in order to have security down the road. We are at that point and the company wants to take more? ACPA said the company deserves a let with codeshare ratios as they have been such good boys over the last years...

Unlimited expansion of rouge... (transat?) or anything else they decide.
Further expansion of code shares.
When the company knows they already exceed the scope limits, why are we even thinking of the idea of rouge expansion?

COVID MOA 2
So, with the new MOA out, what is the consensus? It seems we either have to protect the junior jobs and give up scope or roll the dice. Since the company is already in violation of scope, why would the NC even consider bringing this to the membership. What’s the point of saving something if there is...

Suggestions for EFB/cooler bag
Hello all!
I am shopping around for a efb/cooler bag. Preferably one that I can hang from a J hook off the front of my suitcase.
Just looking for recommendations...the good....the bad...the ugly.
Thanks for the tips.

Did ACPA MEC vote themselves a raise while others are laid-off?
I don't work at AC, but was sent this memo from a friend (who doesn't work at AC either), but does this mean that that ACPA leadership gave themselves raises to almost regular hours while members are out of work and on reduced hours? If so, that is totally unacceptable and disgusting. Anyone on the ...

Re: Pay raise
Looks like transat beats rouge on every scale and year. This basically makes ts pilots equals or better to rouge pilots from a salary point of view, especially when considering how little they actually work? Removes any sort of negotiation that ts pilots will have a better career at AC and hence ha...

Info on WS2766 Dec 1 yyz-puj
Good day everyone. My parents are travelling on ws2766-PUL on Dec 1. They are novice travelers. With the weather tomorrow they are naturally concerned about the flight. Is there a way to track the inbound flight? Or does anyone know where the plane comes in from, or does it start in yyz. The west je...

Expedia is a travel agent. Travel agents have to make changes/refunds etc.
Booking through the original airline is the easiest for changes.

Buying something for a fraction of the regular price, online, from an unknown user who won't use his real name is an obvious sign and as an adult you hold responsibility to know better.

Being owned by a real estate company I would be more concerned about being broken up and sold off later down the rather than owner by an airline.
