Re: Time for your booster.

Formerly-Dr. Makis isn't the authority you should turn to for health advice. You'll note here that he was turfed from AHS and on disciplinary charges with his professional college back in 2016, i.e. well before COVID was ever a thing. https://search.cpsa.ca/Complaints?fn=023044-000019262482-OT He's...

Re: Is my license number printed anywhere but my license?

TC can email you a PDF Temporary Licence. If you’re old enough to remember a world before the ADB, it’s the exact paper licence they used then. Get hold of TC Civil Aviation at one of their Regional Offices by phone and you should have it in a day or two. I went via this list: https://tc.canada.ca/e...

Re: AMEs Done

From AMFA press release, it looks like they did raise the bar: TA2 provides for: Immediate 15.5% increase without any shifting of monies from the WestJet Savings Plan (WSP) Out year pay increases of 3.25%, 2.5%, 2.5%, 2.5% over the 5-year term Overtime beyond eight hours within a pay period within a...

Re: AMEs Done

This is interesting: AMFA’s bargaining committee is standing by to continue discussions with the Company. The parties are separated by economic difference of approximately 7%, less than $8 million dollars a year. Does that mean that if WJ gave everyone another 7% on top of the last TA, that an agre...

Re: AMEs Done

AMFA seems to have done some smart lawyerin’: https://www.amfanational.org/?zone=/unionactive/view_article.cfm&HomeID=923818 Seems WJ got a referral to CIRB, but that didn’t legally preclude a strike. So, they struck once CIRB confirmed they could. Strong move, will be interesting to see if the Mini...

Re: Applied for cat 1 medical, got cat 3

Hello, I am new to aviation, planning to go commercial so I did my category 1 medical exam as my initial medical certification, my doctor said he does not see any reason why I would not pass, two weeks go by, and my cat 3 medical arrives in the mail, is this something they do or was there some sort...

Re: Delays PPL License

I was under the impression it applied to pilot that already had a license... on tc website I see all my evaluation results but under the license it only shows my student permit... Ok this is the second time. Where on TC website you can see your profile, results, licences?...

Re: Does Transport Canada even exist?

I'm in a similar situation, except my booklet expired when I applied back in August. I patiently waited over six weeks before calling. I got lucky after waiting on hold for over thirty minutes. Was told it was being processed and to email Pacific Region for more information. Sent an email two weeks...
