Re: We Fly The Flag Podcast - Mandatory Listening
Wow...now I understand why a 100% raise isn't that unreasonable
Hopefully you guys get what you deserve & your union is ready for the fight of their lives!

Re: New interview process
Since you're new to the industry, you don't know why bonds exsisted in the first place. Personally, I'm a man of my word, and have signed and honored bonds in the past at past companies. Do your homework to avoid the bad companies, and staying at the good ones is easy. I don't care for bonds, but I...

Re: Are posters like ShillBill and HFNav aware that they’re talking out of their ass?
Wowzers! Does that mean Air Canada pilots should be careful too? Are they going to shutdown Edmonton (only 2.5 hrs from Calgary) or Montreal (5 hrs drive plus train options from Toronto) Or maybe Ottawa (2 hrs from Montreal) Or Toronto (only 1.5 hrs from Buffalo) Perhaps Winnipeg and people drive to...

Re: Are posters like ShillBill and HFNav aware that they’re talking out of their ass?
They also don’t understand the leverage a regional has versus the mainline they serve, I find it completely ridiculous the comments how they should have went on strike, etc. In the grand scheme, WJ very likely would have let Encore pilots strike for a very long time, until they caved or just shut t...

Yeah the old timer regulars here are losing the plot. Regardless of whether he's making stuff up about his own career or not, his point is valid. It's sad that the focus is on discrediting and tearing someone down rather than on getting the wawcon we deserve in this country. Bede does little more t...

Re: Does ALPA expel pilot groups that lower the bar?
WJ pilots are way underpaid.
The mechanics deserve more too
This industry needs an investment in its most valuable resource: the highly trained professionals that keep everyone safe.
Can't believe there is a 737 pilot happy to be making $90 a hour though! Insane!! At least owns a boat?!

Re: Air Canada is Not WestJet
Why would WestJet, a low cost carrier airline founded in 1995 be comparable to all the North American legacies who all started around 1930 and fly the same fleets, in the same airspace, often on almost identical routes Seems to me Air Canada is absolutely comparable to United, Delta, American and th...

Wow a lot of information here I wasn't aware of
Sounds like with a minority NDP government and ALPA, Canadian pilots should be making huge gains with their ability to strike.
Go Canada GO!

Re: Is this what a Union feels like?
Unless you are working or have worked at WestJet over the past few years, you have no idea how significant the gains were in the recent contract. Money was a relatively small part of it. Good point. My bad Westjet did an amazing job killing the cancer Swoop Those pilots really did show incredible s...

Re: Air Canada pilots should negotiate at least to match Envoy and Medevac
No mistake... I have made grave mistakes and after some consideration - the data is clear, pilot pay is a damn joke in this country The government is not going to interfere this time around The pilot group is unified There is a proper leadership team installed All cylinders are firing The pilots of ...

Sorry altiplano, I'm just a jagged and bitter dolley trolley so excuse my poor attitude. It is just that I've been bent over too many times in a ho town motown Holiday Inn Being a selfish whore is something that comes naturally to me but I can see why the pilot's union wouldn't want that Sorry. You ...

Re: Air Canada pilots should negotiate at least to match Envoy and Medevac
I am a critic when I think a crew doesn’t care, I fly commercially a lot, and I have never seen this. Find this very hard to believe. Not buying. I've seen it personally 5 times in 2 years. 3 times on WS, 2 times on AC. Never on Porter or Flair. Haven't flown Lynx so I can't speak to them. Just lik...
