Re: WestJet and Sunwing ground collision - YYZ
More often than not I see the wing walkers waiting in the bridge to see the aircraft start moving before they come out. This usually results in them trailing the tug by several, if not 10's of, meters behind the tug holding up their wand.

You're OFF for your 8 weeks. They may ask if you're interested in a charter if it comes up, you can say no. I imagine the bond still exists.

He sounded rather calm and got all aboard down and intact. The outcome could have been a lot less pleasant, hindsight is a bugger so I say well done!

Some of these posters are hilarious. A non-event. I'm pretty sure a smoked filled/human filled cabin following an engine failure qualifies as an "event." And to say that people are crazy for wanting to get out, and that you'd be all cool as a cucumber, telling other people to relax just proves that ...

Re: When Flying Was Fun
Great pics posted above! I was lucky enough to visit the flight deck as a kid on an AC B727, then before 9/11 rode jumpseat the same day I did my commercial ride on an AC B737 all the way to landing to YYZ. It is indeed sad kids can't visit up front. Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?

I cart around the Sigma 10-24, makes for great cockpit shots and interesting A/C shots. For range shots I also carry the Nikkor 55-200. Would like to get the f 1.4 35 or 55...thoughts?
