It's for all the shine points they doled out in 2022. All departments got them.

https://x.com/flightradar24/status/1871853766191804673/photo/2 Looks like shot at by a small missile, plane dropped from 10,000 until it recovered around 4,000, and then the pilots flew at low altitude to a completely different airport (pressurization issues? Unable to climb above the Caucasus moun...

Re: Should WJA get rid of AR (age +65 pilots) ?
Yep. February 2008. I was a passenger on that flight.
Re: AMEs Done
How long would it take for cancellations to start happening? I'm not seeing much yet on the FIDS for YYC. Also hearing reports of WS AME's still on the job doing work.

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
Cheapo Air is owned by Fareportal, not 777partners. When I tried to search flights on Flair's site it redirected me to Expedia. I had to reenter the city pair and dates and search. The first page of results were all Westjet and Air Canada flights. I had to scroll way down to find a flight that showe...

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
Would be a pretty greasy way of going out of business though. Airlines only go out greasy... jetsgo, greyhound, Thomas Cook, lynx... to name a few. Operate as per normal... until you don't. Ops normal. This is true. I'd say Lynx was the least greasy in my living memory by giving the public a few da...

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
For three days? And not a peep from Flair about it? If it was just a tech issue it probably would have been solved within hours with Flair apologizing for the interruption. Seems fishy. Yeah that's odd. Would be a pretty greasy way of going out of business though. Nobody answered my question, I’m p...

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
Are you sure it's not just a technical issue with the website booking system or payment processor? Surely there would be more news on this if it were actually intentionally disabled. For three days? And not a peep from Flair about it? If it was just a tech issue it probably would have been solved w...

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
It would appear Flair has the ability to take bookings again as of about 7:30 pm PDT. Raddix was functioning perfectly yesterday at a US airline I'm very familiar with in the US. What ever the issue was, it was entirely at Flair's end. Flair's OTP was about 45% yesterday, but other than a 13hr + de...

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
Apologies for the huge screenshots but this is what people on reddit are experiencing. It sounds like this could be from the dispute with payment processor(s).

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
Representing the travelling public, this is probably a good thing. It saves the unsuspecting travellers from having worthless admissions when the show stops. Indeed. Protects People's Trust from holding the bag of customer refunds if Flair goes under, which also protects the customer. Still can't bo...

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
Hmmm another unpaid vendor finally pulling service?
Seems odd to me that these "glitches" (ADP and now this) start happening when Flair's payment processor is withholding cash until services are rendered to the customer stopping Flair from using tomorrows bookings to pay todays bills.

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
That reporter knows (and we all know) Flair isn't profitable. He was trying to get the CEO to come out and say it. Profitable airlines don't have aircraft repossessed, they don't take out loans at Payday Loan interest rates, and they don't fall so far behind in taxes that the CRA gets a court order ...
Re: Strike
Any updates on how the negotiations are going?
Re: Vote
You really think Trudeau and his side kick first officer [EDITED] will let you guys strike? Good luck with that. The NDP are supposedly pro-labour, and the Liberals/NDP don't care about western businesses anyway. It would probably be better politically to side with labour on this one. They can appe...

Re: 4 Flair aircraft seized
Repossession is the last resort that lessors/creditors won't initiate until they haven't been paid for months. This isn't just an "oops, I forgot the make the payment this month" scenario. The fact that Flair was in arrears on several aircraft from at least two lessors can't be a good sign.

Re: Oh westjet
You missed the part about CSA's and GSA's. The customer service provided by them is at least as much, if not more, important than the flight crews. And yes, Onex/WJ used Covid to get rid of them and outsource it. Don't forget all the TAC. An incredibly hard-working, loyal workforce, who had the sim...
