The December issues you state, while correct, are also,.. red herrings.
Clearly some blocks are completed (relying on ALPA texts)
Clearly, language in the CA allows for their release.

Re: PBS
That’s actually not correct. Historically, the company released partial blocks, as they were completed. ALPA suspended that practice, about a year ago, in the interests of “unity”, while negotiations were under way. That was the word ALPA relied on then,.. unity. A. 27 was amended within the current...

What’s up with PBS?
The “unity” argument, which I once supported, is now a thing of the past. Partial block release agreed to by AC and ALPA, then endorsed by 67% of the pilots..
So, why the delay?

Re: Lanyards?
When you fight, and lose, that’s one thing. When you don’t fight at all, it’s a whole other thing. I do not blame members for feeling disenfranchised. But, as BingBong mentions, if one day you truly want a WCC, many of you (I say you because I’ll be gone) will need to amend your behaviour. I’ll be g...

So close
But no
Jokes not on me
Jokes on 8.4 out of every 10 AC pilots
Certainly since 1995
One thing about AC pilots
They’re consistent, if nothing else.

Re: 67% yes
Furthermore, there aren't enough senior pilots to swing the vote this way by themselves. This means that it's not the greed of the senior guys driving this but rather it's the greed of the middle and lower half deciding that they want the rates to stay as they are in the TA. You are 100% correct, n...

Re: How would you have voted if...
I don't understand what your argument is. While the delivery is atrocious and arguably infantile and, while Im not interested in engaging the post(er) directly, the argument may be that ALPA is no different than ACPA was. Or more specifically, AC Pilots. Endorsing this agreement? For real? May also...

It’s irrelevant
If you are an Air Canada pilot you are destined to continue within an emotionally crippled dysfunctional democracy.
Weak predictable leadership
Weak predictable membership.
It’s who we are, it’s what we do best.

Re: 17 days??!!!
So the 35 year old captain with 2 young kids at home should be on the road 18 per month so the 60 year old can only work 8. Got it. Makes sense. Glad you got the point…. Oh don’t forget. That 60 year old CA was once junior too. Difference is, not many had the career chance to be an AC Captain at 35...

Re: 17 days??!!!
It was any easy no for me. Like, it's not even close. I have no fear of any backroom threats from the labour minister. I actually want them to force us back to work publicly. Not in the shadows, so nobody can see what they are doing to us. Post of the year. ✅ Not enough of us unfortunately. I wish ...

Re: 17 days??!!!
There are problems with this deal, but that's the biggest one. Not money, but time. Time is the most valuable thing and this company abuses our time because they aren't made to adequately pay for it. 50% duty day. 50% DH. Still it's going to be a 65% yes vote I am sure. Maybe better. People here st...

Re: Go talk to a FACTS member before spreading inacurate info
Excellent advice. Im a big advocate of the same. The YUL LEC has come out publicly and told us that there was no secret ploy by the MEC. Labour Minister interference is more likely. Can you elaborate on your earlier statements now (one regarding alleged secret ploys, one regarding the more likely sc...

Re: TA
A lot of pitchforks here.... You can vote this down and probably will. The way I see it that the union was successful in extracting a substantial increase, $1.9B, and did so avoiding a strike. Now that's the working figure on the table and having that is incredibly important. Now, between the MEC a...
