Re: Flair Pilots Better Starting & Top End Pay Now?!
"Without lifting a finger" Absolutely! Imagine coaching pilots through endless additional training meetings, the parade of disciplinary meetings, fielding every "CS is screwing me" call at all hours, all while trying to hold the company to account. Never mind the bottomless inbox and the DARTs. The...

Re: Flair Pilots Better Starting & Top End Pay Now?!
Looks like it's 4:25 per day in the contract, not 5:00. I don't think you can work on Union release days either... hmm... and I see guys working many more than 5 days? I'm not sure it sounds totally accurate from whoever you're speaking with about it... I was told they just take the hours and then ...

Re: Flair Pilots Better Starting & Top End Pay Now?!
Looked it up... "up to 8 ALPA business days" for each of the 10 status reps. Can be redistributed by ALPA as required to other ALPA reps or volunteers on each base too. Not sure how many "up to" means is typical, but it's paid by the company not member dues. I don't think doing OT is a good look fo...

Re: Flair Pilots Better Starting & Top End Pay Now?!
Gains were the highest year 3-4 FO and then 1-2 FO in the last deal... then in all FO seats NB, then WB, then NB CA, then WB CA, - except all 767 which took big gains coming off cargo scale. Are these MEC talking points? Who is writing this North Korea propaganda? B777 Captains got a $90 per hour r...

Re: Flair Pilots Better Starting & Top End Pay Now?!
I've heard the stories on how the MEC treated volunteers.
Nah...Im good.
But we should still hold them to account.
As the post said...how many times did Allegiant/Spirit/Sun Country get paid more than United.
The answer is never. What a joke that TA was.

The same stooges were just reelected on the negotiating committee. Lots of chatter going around about how some younger guys who wanted to run were directly mistreated/intimidated/disrespected because they voted no to the current contract. Any opposition to the actions of previous MEC labelled as "d...

Re: When will AI make pilots obsolete or less critical?
Hello, I’ll offer a perspective that’s probably less comforting than what you’ll hear from people already invested in the profession.. but I think it’s important to be honest, especially given your age and the cost of entry. 1. Is flight training a sound long-term investment given AI and AGI? If I w...

Or have your Great Leader preach about unity before they threaten to quit if you voted No, make it an issue of "confidence" and then build a posse of yes men around them to demonize anyone who voted No.
Really sad showing at AC by some people who are still somehow involved.

Re: Who Wants to Fly WJ
The real question you should be asking is why would you wanna go somewhere where youre gunna be working 18 days per month, training past your block, worst reserve rules, worst trip and vacation rigs? Lol...not wrong But pilots at the top of the Seniority Pyramid scheme avoid a lot of these issues s...

What are your solutions? None. Why don't you volunteer? Too lazy. Why not participate at your LEC meetings? Lame exc...

Re: Recall of MEC Chair & Vice Chair
Then they got those displacements so they can enjoy their 95 hours of pay. Awesome. At least they took care of themselves! At the very least you could keep the retoric correct. A10.09.01. 90 hours. And it is on the low side for ALPA. The average ALPA duty release at other properties is closer to 95...

Re: AR program Did I read that right?
Let me get this straight...pilots from the two lowest paid FOs that fly transatlantic & in American airspace are defending what no properly paid airline pilot does - fly past 65. One has to assume these folks with their abysmal pay are already planning to work past 65 because...well...they don't got...

Re: Recall of MEC Chair & Vice Chair
It's an interesting proposition. Less divisive than 50 pilots, less than 1% of membership, getting 20% (or 30%!) of the vote on the MEC. How many reps does Winnipeg have versus other bases? YVR & YUL have the same amount of voting reps as YWG YUL & YVR have a thousand plus members so 20 times plus ...

What will Air Canada pilots do with their $0 bonus?
Ouch...looks like record profits for the airline but a record low for profit sharing after giving it away. Would have been max bonus payout based on the EBITA...how much is everyone giving up now? Getting a pay raise on concessions...yikes Don't tell other ALPA carriers about this bold strategy. You...
