Actually the Citation X and Sovereign already come with this feature.. Above 33,000 ft it's armed. If I remember correct, a cabin above 11,000 will trigger the Autopilot into the descent.

Basically a must have with the higher flight levels..

The best resource for straight METAR/TAF info is flight aware.

Save this address: wx@flightaware.com

In the subject field just put your airport idents and hit send... within 2-3 minutes you'll get an email back with the info you need.

If you load the KML file attached to the right in the "More detail information" they are recent passes..

Essentially you can just view the smaller square photo.. If you had google earth and the KML file you'd simply cut and paste the LAT LONG for a better shot.

Found this great link.. Once you sign up with the service they'll provide you with some up to date satellite images. Simply mark whether or not you see someting of interest..

Time has passed so quickly it's hard to believe. John was a great guy it's still a shame to think how fast someone can pass out of our lives.

You shouldn't have to request the contact at all.. You have been cleared out of controlled and the missed is already protected regardless... Remember even if you request the contact you continue with the published approach procedure until such time you gain visual of the environment around the airpo...
