Re: Walmart Canada?
Where did you hear that info? On a Learjet 45? I dont think anyone is making that kind of coin. I saw the pay grades at Walmart because I used to work at the head office. It's under technical position, Captain was $55k, I think the pay grade topped out at 70 or 75k. Only positions at Walmart that w...

Re: SMS WEATHER / InReach
What Rigpiggy suggested is the best,
1) email: wx@flightaware.com
2) Subject line: CYYZ CYVR etc etc
1-2 mins later you get an email back with the METAR and TAF

Re: YYZ New SID's
We don't need to depart off 05/23 for any specific performance issue. It's certainly a matter of convenience to make short, quick ground movements both to the runway and away from it. In the end a number of different arguments can be made. On the one hand, we burn less gas to get to the other side o...

YYZ New SID's
Since the introduction of the new RNAV SIDS/STARS we've found it next to impossible to depart the north end for anything going east of Toronto. We keep hearing that current rules do not allow it but I would like to know when it's possible to fly to Halifax without having to consistently taxi to the ...

Aircraft Partnership Agreements
Hi Everyone,
Just looking to see if you have a copy of a template agreement you'd be willing to share? (P.M if required) With that in mind any thoughts or best practices for a 1/4 aircraft partnership?
Appreciate any insight,
Thanks
AOA

Re: Looking for advice on a T206 purchase
I'd say no to the WAAS. Not something that is fully developed here in Canada.
Choice #1 sounds like the winner for the long term.
P.S Where are you thinking of basing the aircraft?

Re: Question for Porter folks
Just wanted to get the conversation back to the "outs" provided. 17. What happens if the visibility drops below the aerodrome operating visibility after the aircraft has started to taxi or is taxiing after landing? If the visibility drops below the aerodrome operating visibility after an aircraft ha...

Well I keep thinking they must have had the film crew inside the aircraft. I'm sure there is a video account of the whole thing.

Re: Seat Sales
Actually, I've heard that when visiting a airline/travel site looking for prices they'll place a "cookie" on your computer to log what you've looked at and when you check back.. So if they've seen you've already viewed YYZ-YVR they simply jack the fare a litte to reinforce the idea you should buy th...

Re: A350 XWB with Auto Emergency Descent?
Actually the Citation X and Sovereign already come with this feature.. Above 33,000 ft it's armed. If I remember correct, a cabin above 11,000 will trigger the Autopilot into the descent.
Basically a must have with the higher flight levels..

Niss
The best resource for straight METAR/TAF info is flight aware.
Save this address: wx@flightaware.com
In the subject field just put your airport idents and hit send... within 2-3 minutes you'll get an email back with the info you need.
Hope it helps
