The US is about to replace the two Air Force Ones... why don't we just buy those with our apparently unlimited tax-payer pockets?

Okay then.
Well they did have a Porsche engine option in the late-80s.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just throw the q400 avionics package in the 300 classic dash?
Except that the -300 is now the property of Viking Air in BC, no?

The nerve of the couple to sue the airline and win, then say that they’ll continue flying with them. If I was Air Canada I'd be saying "Bienvenue sur la liste d'interdiction de vol“.

Assholes.

From their quotes in the article, it appears that the couple speaks pretty fluent English... hard to see how they were put out by the lack of bilingualism on the seatbelt latches. If it truly was an issue for them, they'd still be belted in their seats with no idea how to get out.

I rode one of my motorcycles to the gas station yesterday and was almost hit twice by inept drivers. The gas station is three blocks from my house, by the way.

I would have felt considerably safer in an airplane.

Some American carriers have removed the Max from their skeds until January. AC is not anticipating them to come back before the new year either.
I'm booked on WestJet in August and one of my legs has me listed on, gasp, a MAX.

Re: Some Boeing Jets Have Substandard Parts, Whistleblower Claims

One change already implemented is that mechanics can close up many areas of the airplane without an inspector taking a final look. And as part of what Boeing calls its "Quality Transformation” program, the company intends to cut nearly 1,000 quality-inspector jobs over the next two years. Possibly ...

It would be definitely be helpful if the job ads were broken down into "pilot", "ame" and "other" categories. Having the job location as mandatory information in the post title would also go a long way to help job-seekers.

Re: Hangar Tax Assessments CYYJ

The price for a hangar at Viscount is accurate. They're a little nicer (and a fair bit newer) than many of the hangars on the north side. I don't know what their monthly assessments are, but $900 seems high to me. Note that $200/mo is just for the lease. With all costs included (maintenance, insura...

Re: Hangar Tax Assessments CYYJ

$900 is way off. It's just over $200/mo on the north side, or about $2500/yr. Thank you, that's considerably more reasonable. I remember seeing one for sale in the Viscount Center a few years ago for around $85-90K and I thought that the listing said that the monthly assessment was $900. I could ha...

Is there an expiration date for past completed tasks to apply for an M2 rating?
