Re: So over at TransAt.......PAY ATTENTION!
They did waive it. They’re doing info sessions for their membership this week, to present them with the mediation report they will be voting on. Apparently TA2 is guaranteed if they vote yes with the added mediation report item(s). If they vote no it’s straight to an arbitrator who will decide with ...

Re: New interview process
This place is like walking around at the dog park, you have to navigate the turds. Some people will never take an answer at face value and just twist it to whatever they want to hear. TS upper management and management are almost all new. Things are moving in the right direction, slower than most of...

Re: New interview process
Can you blame him? You guys are literally the definition of a Shill. How could anyone with an IQ more than room temperature even have the idea a training bond is acceptable? So you switch accounts to keep posting the same BS? We never said it was acceptable, that the salaries were best in the count...

Re: New interview process
If you can tell me what is untruthful about what I said I'd be happy to stand corrected, but you're just avoiding any discussion altogether. I guess management shills readily adopt management tactics. Looks like you were interested in joining TS, but now like to troll. Sorry you didn't get the inte...

Re: New interview process
There's talks of the company doing interviews in YYZ. There's rooms for improvement in how they do things but overall it's heading in the right direction We all expect they will have to be more creative to attract and retain pilots, especially of a certain experience. The cadet program will fill so...

Re: WORLD CLASS CONTRACT: ALPA
Did ALPA Westjet get a North American standard? ALPA seems to over promise and underdeliver. (I still support them) I just hope we have the numbers to vote NO to whatever ALPA reluctantly agrees to and we actually strike this time. ALPA doesn't do any promising, delivering or agreeing. That's what ...

Re: WestJet Sunwing merger and seniority
It was probably a WestJet aircraft doing wet lease flying for Sunwing. I don't know but it was a SW callsign, I didn't see the aircraft. Yeah WJ uses SWG call sign for the wet lease flights. This is the only scenario that someone would be calling both WJ and SWG ops. Thanks for the info. This morni...

Re: WestJet Sunwing merger and seniority
Lets not forget the fact that as long as there are 2 separate OC's - WJ pilots cannot fly Sunwing planes any more than WG pilots can fly Westjet planes. There's a lot more to the companies being integrated than merging the pilots union. Very little progress has been made to integrate any of the hun...

Re: Training bond removed
What are the minimums to upgrade ? I don't think they have gone under 4000. Was at 5000 for a while. Per curiosity is there a reason that some companies have minimums to upgrade vs Air Canada where it's just a bid ? Surely many different reasons but at TS everyone pretty flies everywhere on the net...

Re: WORLD CLASS CONTRACT: ALPA
Hey ALPA, I hope that you actually deliver on your world class contract promise! I hope that your world class contract gets us world class wages. Just for reference, please see Southwest narrow body wages below. I hope you guys are actually aiming to take a stand. ALPA can't deliver anything if the...

Re: Is the ACPA Motto: "We will get'em next time" gone?
I think that ALPA got what they needed the most in this MOA, the company at the table and someone to hold them accountable. Regardless of when ALPA declares their intention to strike it will be detrimental to the company, assuming it comes to this. Sure some periods of the year are worst for AC but ...

Re: Training bond removed
It's not in use and I don't see them being able to do it at volume. Trainers are all pretty busy. That said, we can see this be implemented for the cadets that will be coming. Similarly to Jazz that has PICUS, it'll likely be hard to get it done as the trainers will be busy with line indoc. However...

Re: BEWARE $30,000 BOND FOR 3 YRS
But no pay raise to help people stay? What's the strategy here? Until the flight attendants have a ratified TA there will be no moves monetarily from the company. Who knows, they might even feel like they can wait till our CA is due to be opened or AC gets a good deal and we start loosing more pilo...

Re: BEWARE $30,000 BOND FOR 3 YRS
FYI - The training bond is no longer .. it’s done, gone, finito! It is a seller’s market. This isn’t too much of a surprise. Now TS will have to get used to some pilots that treat their tenure at TS as a brief stay. That is the nature of the industry. Pay more. Offer a descent work/life balance. Tr...

Re: Transat or Porter?
Yikes, is that all you have in the fleet right now? You mentioned reducing cycles before, I always thought it was TBO, which long haul would obviously use up more of. Is the something specific about these engines that cycles reduce the TBO? At Jazz we keep track of landing cycles but I always assum...

Re: Transat or Porter?
So, have you increased the amount of long haul flying since dropping the domestic/transborder flying? Increased frequency or new destinations added or is this another management spin? Some new destinations like Lima have been added and frequency increases on some routes. There are other new routes ...
