Re: Logging Instrument time real world
When I got my A signed off I had no IMC or IFR entries in my book at all. The inspector did however, look through the logbook and see that at the time I had over five years experience and 2500 hrs and based on the types I've flown, it was probably safe to say that I meet the requirements. It is just...

Re: "Unforeseen" - Use the Farce, Luke
Here's some other guidance that TC offers on their website. S740.17 Unforeseen Operational Circumstances (1)Unforeseen operational circumstances (UOC) may be used to allow a pilot to complete a “block” or “cycle” with an extension to the flight time limitations for either the seven, 30 or 90 day per...

I say log whatever you want. Put everything in the Night Multi IMC PIC Jet Solid Rocket Booster column if thats what floats your boat. Just be sure that your experience backs it up.

Re: When is the right time to write the ATPL exams?
You can start to consider writing them any time I suppose. If you are actually going to write them wait till you either have the requirements or will have them within two years after writing.

Ya I thought it was climbing out real slow. According to the cadors is was actually a low and over to inspect the gear. Suspected wheel issues after leaving LHR. Turned out alright I guess.

Re: Pressurization
One other thing to be aware of is dialing down the altitude for descent too fast may produce a high cabin FPM spike. You can mitigate this sometimes by turning down the rate control first. It seems fancy and complicated at first but you'll get used to it quick, if you're in doubt about something ask...

Re: Proceedures for a safe flight
In C**FI's defence: The only 'shall' I can find about uncontrolled airport ops is the left hand circuit unless otherwise stated, all the other procedures say 'should' therefore you don't necessarily have to do them. You will find that everywhere you go will be airports with certain local quirks be i...

Cook Cresent Kicks ass. Living on Cook was all about the revival. Check out CCR and Doctor D and the PT6's, ask the PARK. EH PARK! However if your living in the Cook during the winter watch out for the snowcat. She'll get stuck anytime! If you move to La Ronge do me a favour and say hi to the captai...

To log multi logging time you'd need to be connected to two saws whether or not they are running. Work those wrist muscles before hand, those saws get heavy. If you are running Stihls, expect an engine failure and log it as such. Or take the easy road and use a buncher, only one engine but log heavy...
