How about prisons on the reserves? The prospect of being constantly harrassed by infinite amounts of black flies in the summer and the bitter cold and nothingness of winter for years and years would certainly make me think twice about pointing a gun at that minimum-wage cashier. Plus, it would give ...

Yet another logging question

I searched but couldn't find anything.... Got into a friendly argument with a friend about logging time on ferries/positioning flights on a multi-engine airplane in a 703 op... I say you have to have a ppc but he says that it's okay since when you're positioning/ferrying, you're considered "private"...

This kind of rumor has been going on for quite a while I believe.... What kind of 37s? Where do they come from? Are they going to be online anytime before the end of the decade? What will they replace? Is Inuit going to FINALLY offer flights to the caribbean? :) I'll believe it when I see it on the ...

I thought that the medevac captains at VAL on the ka200 where making 50g because of an MOH requirement and that otherwise they would be making 35g or so.

Am I wrong?

Not trying to badly influence someone into lying but the topographic test is not very good because I know for a fact that at least one person who was lasiked slipped through the cracks. Mass is a quantity of matter. Some people quantify it in kilograms, others in pounds. Weight is a force. Some people quantify it in newtons, others in pounds. Problem is, pounds can be viewed as a quantity of matter or a force and this is because back in the day people confused the concepts of mass ...

I have not heard anyone speak of a reduction in taxes CID. The current issues are record profits being reported by the gas companies. The cost per barrel price, coupled with those profits does not substantiate the prices at the pumps. Simple math really. Price per barrel is one factor. The other is...

I was reading the CGAA training bond thread and thought I shouldn't just hijack it so here goes. Companies will do anything for money. Companies will at least go to the full extent that law lets them and sometimes beyond if they can gain more and if they perceive it will be viewed as acceptable. Cur...

I agree and I would even put it at 3000hrs. You should aspire to, one day, become an instructor and share your experience and not be an instructor to get time and experience. I was an instructor myself right out of school and as I was trying to teach some cadet how not to kill himself, I thought to ...

It has to be a mile AGL, otherwise you'd just have to go to Denver and do it on the ground :)

Mine was in a 172 a few years back, on my 1000th hour :)
