Re: Canadian helicopter industry debates major challenges it faces!

As someone mentioned, the cost of obtaining a license is so prohibitive. I believe there is no federal or provincial grants such as OSAP to help individuals get their commercial license. Yet this available to those who want to go to university or college. It might be up to employers to start funding...

Is it possible to retrieve or view past filed flight plans in Canada? If so, how would one go about it?
Thanks.

Re: A career change and looking for as much info as possible.

AR, I understand your position. I have a few friends that are emergency room physicians, and they are fed up. I also know a few pilots who are also fed up. Money is not everything. I've made some really good money flying and was miserable. I left the airlines and went a got a rotory wing liscense an...

Re: All you underpaid airline pilots...

I would love to fly for one the airlines..again. I just can't afford to move to the big cities, or even on the outskirts. That's the real tragedy for me.

Re: Training advice

I trained at Helicopters Canada this past summer for my PPH. I am a retired airline pilot and am no stranger to training, and how it's suppose to be done. Writing this, I can tell you that I was extremely pleased with this facility. The entire staff is just a hoot to be around. Not once did I ever f...

Re: Rotorway

A little late responding, but here goes. I currently own a Jetexec. After training and passing my rotor license on the R22, the Jetexec is an absolute joy to fly. Very stable and predictable. Although, I did enjoy the sporty feel of the R22. I've heard the normally aspirated piston engine 162F can b...

Open Letter of thanks to applicants for ManTrans

Things are quite busy here so I would like to thank firstly the Avacanda web site folks for letting us use their medium and secondly, all that have taken the time to send me your résumé’s. I want you all to know that I did take the time (lots of it!) to read each and every one of them. Unfortunately...

The bond is a contentious issue. Those that decided to abide by it, did just that, choose. I was one of them. I definately had my trepidations at first and the the thought that this industry is at best, unpredictable always concerns me. Now, the management. My hat goes off to them. They sincerely ca...

Are the days off scattered, one here and there or are they structured in a manner in which one may be able to have a few in a row as I will be commuting. Cheers

Schedule for Captains?

Just wondering if any JetsGo Pilots can tell me what the schedules are like, in regards to time off, reserve and drafting for the F-100s and Mds?

Thanks in advance. :)
