The question was, why deHavilland doesn't look at putting a 6 blade PW150 (or some variant) on the 200 or 300 to get the same type of performance for a 37 or 50 seat aircraft (Which I think would kick ass on some of the short thin routes) I'm no expert, but I would think that the PW150 with 5071 SH...

Not jumping to conclusions here, but from what I have heard about certain operators from certain parts of the world, I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be crew related. I would be very surprised if the machine was to balme for this. The Q 400 is a lot of airplane and while being very forgi...

Highlander, sorry to hear that. Now you are aware that there are quite a few people working at AC that got the letter and reapplied successfully 6 months later. I know it seems like a long time, but it'll go by quick and you can reapply if that's what you really want. I'm sure the disappointment is ...

Not to hijack the thread but I wonder what Jazz will do. Most of their -8's are pushing 20 years old, with a zillion cycles and the ex AC CRJ-100's are sorry pieces of junk (literally) falling apart. All they really have for newer planes are the 15 -705's and about 15 newer -200s. Sheesh! Didn't re...

3000 hrs minimum with at least 500 turbine. Great company, great experience and the sched is not as bad as some say . Expect at least 1-2 years before an upgrade unless you have jet experience. Hope this helps. LOL! Not trying to stir the pot, but I know a few people that would beg to differ big ti...

I'm glad you turned us down. I'm with you on that one Pointyertoes. Elvis / Stick-Shaker sounds like the quite the special person to work with. Q400 rating useless? BTW it's not about who has the better uniform or who gets paid more or anything like that. All we are doing here is standing u...

You guys are good for a laugh, i'll give you that. If there is so much money behind Porter then why are you scarred of a little competition? Well I wasn't going to bring it up but your post is begging for it. Localizer, I gather you are with Jazz and if not you certainly seem to be a staunch suppor...

T1? Why would you want to come to t1? What advantage would that give you? I'm curious. Can you afford it? It was a hypothetical question to illustrate the point. It hurts to play with the big boys, eh? It sure does when the big boys play dirty as has been demonstrated time and time again. Bu...

Al Gore flys with Porter
Mr Gore flew with us today from Montreal to Toronto where he was scheduled to speak at U of T. Said he was very impressed with the flight.
Pretty funny how all the passengers wanted his autograph.
Pretty cool me thinks. Just sharing a cool day! Cheers everyone!!!
