A&P and I&A it is not equivalent to ICAO type II. Canadian AME is still Type II, don know for how long . For Canadian employers A&P would be exelent solution, less training (week or two for endoresment) put him/her between five gates and what ever comes to a gate CRS could be sign.(from 175 to B777)...

PIA in yyz in jan. had air turn becouse #1 eng.developed high vibes, fan blade tip protector disbounded.Damage:cold stream panels,several blades.three days in a hangar.GE engines.
