Point taken. and witnessed first hand. I know guys who did just that. Its a difficult decision that I respect anyone for having the balls to make. Funny how pilots are the problem and the solution all at the same time. This forum is a great place to keep this problem in the forefront so that more pi...

just another pilot, by your remark I can see you've misinterpreted some part of my comment, and I think I know exactly what. None of us seek out, or want to work a flying job for crappy money. That is just our situation at this time of more pilots than jobs. Its definitely an employer's market, and ...

Hey guys. Its pretty safe to say that if you think you are in flying for the money, you shouldn't be in flying at all right now. I hear real estate is good money these days, so get your real estate agent license, get outta flying and make room for us who really want to fly. The reason many of us kee...

college

If its from a certain east coast college that i think you are talking about (NxxC) that is having big problems, you may wish to wait a little longer to see what that college is willing to do to finish up students that started, but never finished the program. That just may provide you with your answe...

I've met their twin otter pilot, and from what i know, he's not going anywhere. Take it for what it is. It never hurts to apply anyway, just like any place else. Good luck.

J31 A very good point that I hope some employers on this forum will see. In any business, employees are the greatest asset, but especially in aviation. Poor morale amongst the pilots is often ignored by the company managers, and is very insidious. The company(s) that J31 is talking about will crash ...

Tube Driver That is an amazing story! I'm surprised, but not, all at the same time. Little wonder the poor guy decided to 'disappear'. May be the best thing under the circumstances. Sounds like extortion. Who is the CP and Ops Mgr? violent flame They should be blackballed out of this industry! Come ...

re

AF Give me a break fella's, this stuff happens every day. Pilots for the most part are pretty transient. Can anyone out there honestly say they told management that they were looking for something bigger and better, so management fired them?? I'm not worried about that at all. Besides, it might tak...

I know pilots who work for similiar operations as Tube Driver. They started at those companies to get experience, and eventually move on to better job prospects. Unfortunately, due to limited job prospects in this industry, many stayed at those companies far longer than they had ever intended. As a ...

jobhunter, Wrong attitude buddy...whether it is initial training or someone with thousands of hours on the machine, the company should still be paying for the training. That pilot should then stay with the company for a respectable term and not jump ship for another company that pays $100/month mor...

Here's two cents.

A company that wants to hire a pilot, but says he has to fork over $$ for PPC training as a condition of hiring him, is a dirtbag-scum of a company. There should be labour laws against this practice!
