would AC consider someone who stepped away from aviation for 10yrs? would it be crazy to apply??

Hi, I've been away from professional flying for sometime. I left aviation when I had my ATPL and with a new medical I am wondering what requirements are need for IFR currency. I have not flown since 2013

Looking to fly in Africa - wanted to get directed in the right place to apply and find jobs out there.

Anyone have experience there? Know CP and sorts?

thanks. very clear. now you have me on another subject, im transfering my faa stuff to tc. in the US you have an AIM (aeronautical information manual) that pretty much provides you all the info you need to know in terms of regs part 61,91,121,135 etc... Now do we have something like the sort in Cana...

just to clear it up a little further, say we have an air taxi operator flying king airs recently purchased a 1900 and fly 15 passengers now, then they would become a 704 operator?

meaning the only difference is the amount of passengers they carry?

I would like to clear up something I have been trying to figure out. When we say 704/705 operation what does that really mean? 4 types of commercial operations in canada, 1. air taxi 2. aerial work 3. commuter 4. airlines which operation corresponds to which number? and i guess what would the differ...

wow pilots in canada are sure deprssed. why not fly for AC? i thought they are a great company? well i decided to go with LA, i have been here for about 4 days and it is a ZOO! so big it will be overwhelming to anyone. rent is pretty expensive, pay is poor and all the hot chicks ride in brand new bi...

but lets say a/c flying. which would you guys think is best suited for later purposes.

if you had the oppurtunity to fly out of cali on a be99 or fly out of pueurto rico on a short 360 which would you pick?

and your ultimate goal is to fly for air canada.

i meant a company. there are programs where you pay to be an F/O in the states for say a 777 if you have a type rating.

I was wondering if there are anything companys/programs that provide this service in Canada.

i know programs exists in the states where you 'pay to fly'....
