Re: Stone Mountain Safaris

Just a side note. The video clip, while interesting is not the stone mountain cub or from that area. Toad River is rather mountainous, but the strips are equally short. That L19 can be a handfull too, never have flown it but an O-540 and 70 degrees of flap make for some interesting short strip abil...

Speaking of propellers ... you should take a look at this : http://www.aeromatic.com/

Re: 230 People Killed in Occupied Palestine

The Israelis are only defending their homes. Catch is, their homes are built on the land the attackers homes stood on only a few decades before. Methinks the Palestinians want their land back. So the Palestinians fight for it, and Israelis die. Israelis get angry, and want revenge. Palestinians die....

Plane immigrants

Hello all, I have recently learned that you cannot own a canadian registered airplane if you are not a canadian citizen. Now, I am aware there is a similar law in the US, but there are loopholes in the FAA regs (registering the aircraft under a corporation) that make it possible. So my question is, ...

Re: When will the dead idiots stop ruining it for the living?

For those suggesting this is discrimination on the basis of age, are you also then suggesting there should be no age requirement for driving? No, there should be one. But once you're 18, an ADULT, you should be free to take as many passengers as you want given you have the proper licence. They let ...

Re: When will the dead idiots stop ruining it for the living?

I can't believe people are even debating this. We do not live in a police state. Laws blanketing an age group are unconstitutional. Telling a responsible 18 year old, who legally got his drivers license that he can't drive with more than two teens in the car is criminal. If some idiot endangers othe...

Re: When will the dead idiots stop ruining it for the living?

I would love to see any foreign government try to pass this law in their country ... where people actually give a damn about some sort of personal freedom.

I`m completely against drunk and/or reckless driving. But this law is dumb. Period.

Only in Canada.

Re: More religious bullshit

Religion is just one pretext to kill people. Religion or no religion, there will always be a reason to kill. For god, for money, for ideology, for land, for fame, for reputation, for power, for pride, for hunger, you name it, any reason is a good one - as history has shown. Religion is not stupid, h...

How do you propose we fund roads, health care, police forces, the military, a multitude of government services, etc? Do tell. This ought to be interesting. It just baffles me that roads, and general infrastructure existed before income tax, and that governments seemed to deal with it quite nicely i...

Re: Stephan Harper Criticism

Well, to me, getting taxed as much as we are is criminal. Why is the govt able to take such a chunk out of my hard earned money without even asking? It is important to note that this tax was implemented as a measure to help the war effort - and was temporary. 80 years later, we're still stuck with ...

Re: Stephan Harper Criticism

The election was called now because they wanted to take a shot at a majority when the libs were looking brutal and before the US economy took a dump(missed on this one a bit). 'Premature' is a fun politician word that means very little. It's plenty mature for the cons, premature for the libs. If th...

Going back in time here, but ... cpl_atc said: Harper satisfied every campaign promise made during his last campaign, with the exception of income trusts. And with another exception - he promised not to call a premature election - oopsie ! That being said, politicians lie. They scam, cheat and steal...

So then Canada IS a country to be proud of, for the achievements of it's ancestors. It's easy to say valiant deeds are a part of this nations past, but it's hard to match the valiant deeds of war heroes in peace time. That being said, those heroes fought the horrible wars so that our generations cou...

You should call TC, for sure. Just make sure you call before 1530 (yes yes, they say 1600. Just trust me). You'll get transferred to a computer. The computer there will transfer you to a clerk. You will then be transferred to some other dude. The guy you will finally speak to won't know what the hel...

Unless it's bumpy as hell i see nearly no difference landing in a crosswind with zero flap, or up to 60 degrees. Other than visibility on final, blah blah. The slower you approach the more apparent your crosswind correction becomes, but on a smooth day once you set the correction in the airplane usu...
