Just adding some additional points, those crazy loadplans are required because for some strange reason the 600 tends to be tail heavy. You have to have massive weight in the front pits or load all the people at the front of the plane which stupid and I mean stupid CSA's overide the computer. I've se...

Close family member is a senior pilot in YYC for Jazz. Himself and several senior pilots always bid reserve. The trend is for senior pilots to be bid reserve in YYC unless they want a specific pairing or routing.

Also the 80% load factor for February, is to say the least a 'temporary thing'. More seats were sold on WJ due to massive advertising and seat discounting to celebrate WJ's birthday.

I believe March's numbers will be a more realistic story of WJ's executive's decisions.

I worked for Westjet. And yes, my eyes were opened to reality. I quit after 5 years.

When you walk into Clive's office with all the smoke (yes, he chains smokes in is office at the hangar) and talk to him - he talks like a man with one thing on his mind - POWER WITH WORLD DOMINATION.

Maybe Clive should get the award for having a business plan involving throwing four national carriers into bankruptcy and a little bit of corporate spying and final a Hitler ideology about power (get rid of anyone in the executive that opposes you, eg. Tim). Got my vote for Business Man of the Year....

I would guess yes. And for many, that would be the third time, since they switched over from ANOTHER system in late 2004. Honestly if there is any department of WJ that has it's head further up their collective asses than HR, I cannot fathom which it could be. And no, I will not call it the "People...

He was a Dash 8 Captain. Funeral is in Taber at 1pm on Monday, December 19th. Craig was a true gentleman. He loved working for Canadian/Air Canada Jazz regardless of what happened. He loved flying and always smiled even when the RVR read 0 and the going was bad. Everybody in YYC base knew him and wa...

Regardless of what color your plane is, we should never criticize each other's motives in helping others in need.

I'm sorry Canada EH, I feel you were in the wrong. When it comes to human suffering, it's the wrong time to bash the competition.

But just a quick question:

Why do you think Beddoe is 'luke-warm' to raising the foreign investment levels? I think if managed closely it would be a real asset for WJ.

Just wondering....

I looked at my prospectus for Westjet stock for this year and it said 5500 employees.

Also keep in mind all the additional 'middle' management we have hired and I think the employee per aircraft ratio goes up.
