It is not as our process accounts for it with our updates. You can review the inflation discussion for AirSprint in detail on avcanada. You will see that our pay scale adjustments over time far exceed inflation.

Re: Air Sprint Questions

Those are reasonable gains, but what is the point of a 25yr pay scale??.. We have pilots with more than 20 years with the company and fall into that part of the pay scale. Regards. J Good for those guys...but they would be at the top of any pay scale regardless. You're dodging the question. Why are...

Re: AirSprint - Updated Pilot Career Guide

Hi Radiohead, The short answer to your post is that the scale you are using was not in effect at the start of 2018. As an example, all Captain started at $80k at the beginning of 2018. I have not verified your math (being Saturday night and all), but your comparison would be at the most negative poi...

Re: Air Sprint Questions

Edited the post to clarify that people would not want a scale linked to inflation which did not increase compared to a system that increased regardless of inflation.

Re: Air Sprint Questions

Seems like there is a question regarding how budget timing works at AirSprint. The 2022 budget was finalized on November 15th. Notable was that this was the first quarterly board meeting since Covid began where flying had reached normal levels. It had actually rapidly far surpassed normal levels in ...

We currently have a Captain on year 20 so we are extending it.

Regarding the rotation/schedule questions, I will leave for Matt or Adam to reply as they will do a better job of explaining it.

Re: AirSprint - Updated Pilot Career Guide

This part is not true. This barley keeps up with inflation. Air Sprint’s pay-scale was never indexed to yearly inflation like most airlines do. So this might seem like they have increased wages significantly, but in reality this is just their first time updating their pay-scale in a long time. In r...

Re: Air Sprint working conditions

Since travel restrictions were relaxed in late summer, AirSprint has been busier than ever before and our pilots have been working much more than desired by company leaders. AirSprint has always been a mix of busy and slow times, but the record increase in private aviation seen across the industry i...

Re: Air Sprint Questions

Great to hear things are starting to rebound. I may even throw my resume in the hat, although I'm sure they're getting hundreds of pilot resumes for laid-off airline folk these days. Curious on why one of the Legacy 450's is up for sale? www.controller.com/listing/for-sale/196477895/2015-embraer-le...

Re: Air Sprint Questions

As an update, the last few months has seen a steady improvement in flying and several new clients. The Canadian quarantine is still holding back flying from traditional norms so I would not say that we are back to normal, but there has been significant improvement. Re: Air Sprint Questions

What about the first group of pilots that got laid off? If the rumours in the FBO crew rooms are correct, there are at least 2 fairly senior pilots that haven't been recalled yet. Very early in the pandemic in mid-March a few pilots from secondary bases were laid off. It would not be right to speak...

Rumors at the airport are that AirSprint laid off 40% of their pilots. Don't forget about AirSprint's 35% pay cut company wide - including management - as well. Glad I'm not there anymore. Re: Average Stage Length vs. Average Length of Flight

Hi everyone, Doing a little school project and comparing AC's and WJ's CASM and Average Stage Length. Interestingly, AC's jumps up significantly in 2014... In fact, you can see how they change the reporting in the 2013 Annual Report and the 2014 Annual Report (where it shows the side-by-side of 201...
