Re: Fort Good Hope-Horrible news

My thoughts go out to the family of William, and to the entire North-Wright family. Also to the people of Fort Good Hope, there has been a lot of Aviation related pain over the years there. If any of the guys are reading this, stick together, talk about it and remember the good memories, it eventual...

Re: Headsets Inc. ANR Upgrade

Over the years I used both the headsets inc ANR upgrade and the factory DC ANR headset. The headsets inc upgrade I felt had superior noise cancelling than the David Clark factory ANR, and didn't go through batteries quite as fast. I found it to be a bit fragile though, it uses very light guage wires...

Re: Sky-high dreams for an old CF-100

A flyable Clunk would be amazing, Good luck to them!!

I saw it getting lowered down on to the road when I got home last week. I thought it was a shame to lose it, but now that it is going to Warplane Heritage for restoration and will be staying in Hamilton I think that is outstanding!!

Re: Cargojet flying on behalf of Amerijet?

For all those who are calling the Cargojet pilots scabs, do you check to see who is on strike before you answer the phone when you are on reserve. Much like in Thunder1's situation the guys were just going to work to do a charter. They didn't know who or what it was for. THe first indication they ha...

Re: Dempster flame out?

I also flew both the aircraft and the route in question for NWA in years past and like PT6A-114A never felt pressure to fly in conditions that were not safe, if anything I found the company was very supportive of any decisions I made. I can honestly say that never once did I find myself in a situati...

Re: Fate is the hunter

A Thousand Shall Fall, by Murray Peden is great. It covers his training and flying for the RCAF during World War 2. It is my personal favorite.

Another good one is North Star Over My Shoulder by Bob Buck, he started at TWA on Dc-2's and retired seniority number 1 on the 747.

Re: "Green" Liberals

Buy all the carbon credits you want, you are still consuming a fuel, why not charter something more efficient AND buy credits.

"Green" Liberals

Anyone else notice our champions of the environment are using a 737-200 vs the Conservatives Airbus. Kind of makes you wonder who exactly does care about the world, or at least who is dumb enough to say they do and then charter the most fuel hungry aircraft in the country for its size.

Booked a ticket the other day departing YHM in mid aug on Jazz. Phoned A/C and asked if it was going to be a problem with Jazz saying they are pulling out. They said all is normal, very perplexing.

Just a guess but the FBO sells fuel, the 727 burns it, a lot of it.

Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio has the USAF museum, they pretty much have everything ever flown by the USAF. It is for sure worth seeing.

AC 136

Hello, Just wanted to say thanks to the gate agents in YVR and the crew of AC 136 on March 28/08 for a perfect flight. I end up positioning around quite a bit these days and it is pretty seldom I really enjoy a flight, and this one was great. After a long night of flying I was heading back to Toront...

Re: CargoJet interview??

With Cargojet Regional now in the picture, command time can be acquired within the company, allowing individuals to meet requirements for further upgrade without looking elsewhere. As far as money goes, I find it very difficult to believe that there was such a crunch. Even a starting Second Officer ...

I'm pretty sure that isn't who you think it is, the one who you think of can spell..... Access goes basically all around, valid points get a valid response. Re: cargojet

Cargojet is a great place to be. Yes we are working a bit more than we may want to, but steps are being taken to correct that, and since when is being busy a bad thing? I don't understand where the comments about being underpaid come from, I read the Morningstar union agreement, and I make more than...

S/O of a 727 and S/O at some fly by night Hong Kong airline are 2 very different things. A 727 S/O is basically a systems manager, well that and checklist reader, fuel balancer, walkaround doer, and also paperwork doer.. An S/O on one of those fancy new fangled things that said Hong Kong operator ha...
