Not great, but not bad. So then I start thinking, maybe the wifey would want to come along too, (I'm traveling ...

Hi RB I usually do Phoenix or Seattle turns out of Toronto which gives me an 8 to 9 day month and at home next to my wife each night. This does not include vacation. Basically, if you can get 8 hours a day, your done in 10. Long Haul is not usually as productive. The most productivity I was able to...

If you are senior on the EMB, it is possible to work 8 days per month. and also be home every night. Wow. Thats the kind of gig I'm looking for. Is that just the Embraer or are there people on other aircraft that can work the same thing? I guess its probably pretty hard to get senior enough on a 32...

I'd agree with that Doc. I thought it was a great experience, but now that you mention it, I wouldn't have felt safe if I wasn't sitting next to a very experienced instructor. Tango01, if you can find someone very experienced, do it in IMC, if not, you're probably better off just doing it under the ...

The planes have not come without their controversy and certainly didn't come cheap. I n total, the four planes purchased by the Canadian government will cost about $3.4 billion , a bill that caused a tremendous political upheaval in the House of Commons. Former defence minister Gordon O'Connor just...

Wow. Two 738's? Thats a lot of passenger capacity. I would imagine they'd be flying people in from Edmonton and Calgary, but kinda makes you wonder if the airport will be equipped for IFR approaches. Syncrude's strip isn't but I have a feeling Suncor will spend the extra money for it. Sounds like it...

Air Canada new hire pay - year one 38K/year. It works out to $2,233 per month after deductions. Year 2 you get a wopping 4k/year raise to 42k/yr. Year 3 if you are in the pay Group it jumps to 60k/year or 89k/year if you are on the 320. Basically, it is awful. If you want to work for the new Air Ca...
