Re: Max Height to Comfortably Fly Citation Encore

Depends on "where" you're tall..

I'm 6'3" and have long legs, which resulted in some interesting results when it came to V1 cuts... Controllability becomes an issue when your legs are at such angles. Wish I could have cut the seat cushion in half as I was always hitting my head.

Is GGN legitimately allowed to advertise that they have a PMA with Air Canada? http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=107795 I was under the impression that the original PMA covered Jazz pilots on the property at the time the agreement was written, and that all other CPA carriers (and Ja...

Re: Air Canada Pool

Should a junior Jazz pilot hired after the PML was created not be able to jump the queue if AC opens the OTS application process again? As I understand it they aren't being protected by the list, and with the new contract they were basically screwed for pay so everyone on the property had their chan...

Re: The end of private recreational airports??

I sent an email to the appropriate parties, however I modified it in the following way: I propose that the threshold (below which consultation is not required) be: A privately owned aerodrome, with a few privately registered aircraft owned by the same person, and an additional small number of partne...

MbAv8r.....BIG social faux pas!! 7931, all your partner needs is access to ALPA website, our MEC page has a link to the road show video and the road show presentation to download as well as the MOS. The link for the YUL road show should be there soon as well and answered more question than the YYZ ...

Re: garmin 430

Best bet is if you can find someone with a 430 or 530 that does update theirs. The cards once installed/programmed do not attach themselves to a particular unit, so buy a replacement card from Jeppesen, give it to the person that gets the updates and do it on a rotating basis. The person doing the u...

Re: Portable Aviation Oxygen

I am completely on-board with the welder's oxygen thing, and there are many articles to support it... but it doesn't make it any easier to get it filled. I don't want to buy the system and then find out that when I take it to a welding shop that they will refuse to fill it because the cylinder is st...

Portable Aviation Oxygen

Just wondering if any of the posters on here have any experience with portable ABO (Aviators Breathing Oxygen) systems? I have been looking at investing in one, but I can not find anyone locally (praxair, medigas, etc.) that is willing to fill it without shipping the tank out to have it done? Even t...

I am looking for someone in Southwest Ontario who would be willing to rent out their IFR cert twin engine aircraft so that I could use it to build MIFR experience. I know how unwilling people are to do this, however if you have a twin that sits on the ground more than you would like, and you would b...

IFR Currency

As a pilot with an IFR rating, it is my understanding that after the first 12 months of having the rating, that you are subject to currency provisions of 6 approaches and 6 hours of instrument time within 6 months to exercise the privileges of the rating. My question is, can you, in the 13th month, ...
