Re: Maldives Good? Bad? Kenn Borek
The Russians dont's stay at the Airport hotel anymore, too bad for you! As shitty as it can be there you will also have some fun for sure. The small shit will bug you after a while and six months is too long. Go to build some time and try to find the best out of it all.

Re: Voyageur expanding?
What they do is make you take out a bank loan, so if you leave your left with the loan to pay off and no job. All I can say is that if guys are leaving to go to Jazz well it doesnt say much about "lowager". One or two more are going to take there losses soon in the Dark continent. They must be makin...

Re: Voyageur expanding?

There is a reason they interview every week??? Even the pay scale is not good if you want to compare to say Zemex flying a Twinn otter or CHC for...

Strike in the Maldivian paradise!
It seems the cabin crew in the beautiful paradise of the Maldives has decided to finally stand up for themselves and put on a strike. By some amazing swath of power, MAT or Maldivian Air Taxi as it is known, some how managed to get the civil aviation department to rewrite the regulations within hour...

Sweet van dude!
There is no hard pay scale for KBA, they say there is but it is negotiable always. It also depends on the contract you are on. Overall KBA is one of those places where its what you make of it. Yes they can be very Rude and blunt and they definately don't take care of the small things that would prob...

No IFR
TMA will but MAT no, TMA does VFR rides as far as I understand. All the hiring for MAT is done through KBA and they require an IFR, Capt, requires an ATPL.

One more thing
Don't forget to wear a big cross on your neck when you go through customs along with a big box of porno, they love that stuff. Also if you bring your wife just remind her it's not the great "WHITE" north anymore and get her used to all the sexual harrasment she will recieve while on her lovely holid...

Gards you make it sound so easy and laid back
You know it is not like that, they put all kinds of pressure on you. The op's manager coming to visit you once you snag an airplane?? Nappy calling your flight once you sit down to eat. Ok, for the person who is asking yes of course it is better than sitting on the dock, in fact you can build time t...

This is up to date and reliable!
Trust me dude it sucks! Even now the management there is at an all time low, the new op's man is worse than the last and the last was real bad! That place will never get better until there is a shake up in the upper ranks or they hire some one who actually has a management background. The whole Mald...

MAT stands for Sri Lankan Air Taxi
Well it's really 65hrs/week and they maximize that! Right now they are very short of people (wonder why???) so the poor saps that are down there are working over time and at the end of the day you almost have to get on your knee's to get a ride to where you get the dhoni. The management is horrible,...
