Why is it everytime I browse this forum I find more and more reasons not to become an AME?

There is something a bit suspicious about a dude in a ninja mask asking about being able to sign passports...if this was below the 49th you'd be in Gitmo already!

Had an interview at the conference, but it turns out they are not actually hiring any E apprentices. I hope the M guys have better luck.

I graduated a month ago, and have been on the hunt for two. So far no dice. It's definitely a tough market in the maritimes. I am turning my focus West.

How long did it take to land your first job?

Just starting my career; 2 years of college. Anyone looking for an AME-E apprentice with a shiny new liver?

Does this exodus also pertain to maintenance personnel? I have heard rumors, but nothing to substantiate them.

Has anyone worked for Great Slave Helicopters either as a pilot or an AME/Apprentice? If so, what are the working conditions / pay like? Any feedback would be helpful as I am considering an AME-E apprentice position there.

I am an AME-E apprentice looking for work on the East coast (fixed or rotary wing...doesn't matter at this point). Who is good to work for, and who should I be looking at?
