The idea that lossing AC would be a bad thing for the industry is a myth. If AC were gone It would take some time to recover but the industry would be on much more solid ground. WestJet, CanJet, Jetsgo would all have the ability to contract out airplanes for routes not currently flown. What does thi...

it'sme said Hmmm...and METARS are what again? The point I was making was clearly to do with non-navcanada staffed airports but airports with CWO's. This is just a guess but you really don't have much experience flying into and out of uncontrolled airports do you. Lets go back to day one of met in p...

Man you are dumb
The airport operator doesn't issue the approach ban of course, that is a result of the below limits METAR
METAR's have nothing to do with approach bans.

Approach bans are issued based on current weather conditions.

Seriously though, if their was no sault college out there then another flight training facilaty would be the butt of every flight trainning joke out there. Skydivers are considered crew essential to the flight until they leave the aircraft. Once they leave the airplane then they are insured by CSPA (Canadian Sport Parachute Association). Having said that you still need to insure the aircraft as you would be operating under a commercial OC.

Your right. Nav Canada's biggest priority right now is to make sure that they add a shit load of money onto there payroll to have quilified Wx advisors on every airport with a non precision approach, and pay millions of dollars to add the equipment at those airports. As far as those vans on the side...

If you take that kind of attitude to an instructing position (non-REAL flying job) then you should have your ass kicked. If you don't want to be there it is going to show in the quality of your instruction. If I was going to Instruct you on your class 4 and I heard you talking like that I would not ...

It is easier to beg forgivness then ask permistion as far as the built up area, clarity is the one thing that you want to avoid the child seat could simply be avoided by hanging the child in the seat from the roof of the aircraft (airlines need to install hooks) or build a seat into the overhead lug...

I flew down to cancun on airtransat's A319. Those things hold 300+ their a wide body. So if it cost's the same to operate a 700 series 737 then that would put a huge advantage to the airbus. Unless you mean on a per seat basis. Do you mean on a per seat basis?

Large A/C training

when doing your company training in a metro/1900 or any eqivilant aircraft is it the same as any other light aircraft with stalls, steep turns, manual gear extentions, and engine shut downs, or is the main focus on how to operate the numorus systems and less focus to the Oh $hit situations

What is the obsetion with boeing airplanes. Clearly Airbus has better technology more efficiant engines, and they have started to use carbon fiber on their A/C its stronger/Lighter and therefor an all around better material for aircraft. Also, they incorperated fly-by-wire into their aircraft close ...
