Re: GA Pilots: Make your voices heard.

If that’s true, you could block me. Same for you, Digits. Issue resolved. Or you can take responsibility for your actions, be accountable, and change your approach to this forum. Does creating a block function allow you to continue with whatever rhetoric you have without being criticized? I persona...

Respect to me earns respect back.
You've literally gone and slandered me in the past on this forum without having any sort of discourse with me or knowing anything about me. I find your statement about respect ridiculous and absurd.

Re: Transat AT seeking additional government funding after reporting $114.3M Q1 loss

Maybe by the end of the year .. but not in the short term. Unless a bunch of junior guys jump to AC .. time will tell. Lots of junior pilots have already left and are flying at other jobs. They've kept their place at AT in case their new jobs don't work out well enough. The company won't know they'...

Stanhope (CND4) to Pembrooke (CYTA) to Ottawa (CYOW). This route was seen on the PPAER exam.

Maniwacki, to YTA NDB, to Deerhurst Resort, to Muskoka, to Deerhurst Resort Again. This was seen on a CPAER exam.

Grimsby - London - Gore Bay - Sault Ste. Marie. I just made this up.

Good luck!

Re: Special VFR question

SVFR is only applicable to control zones and does not extend into other classes of controlled airspace. That includes Class C, D and E control zones in Canada.

Answer to scenario 1 is that you must maintain VFR as required by law. Scenario 2 is a yes.

Re: Float School will not sign ADB until extra fee is paid?

I would suggest sending in a complaint to TC. The AP’s are Ministers delegates, that is they represent the Transport Minister when performing AP duties. If you are not happy with the response from an AP and are unsuccessful with a direct appeal to them then your only recourse is to complain to TC S...

Re: Check that Seat is Properly Latched

One of the only times I was genuinely frightened in an aircraft was when my seat slid back unexpectedly as I was entering a loop. It only slid back one or two holes and clicked back in, but my heart absolutely stopped. I don't think I would have reacted as badly had I seen a ghost in that moment. A ...

Re: Am I still failing to decode GFA?

If you want to get technical, answer A is written as factual report that a condition exists whereas the GFA is a forecast of possible weather. A case of present tense versus future tense makes answer A absolutely incorrect. Ask your exam provider to explain the answer and maybe ask them to update th...

Going on a three day pairing, I'd bring my 6 Pack Fitness Insulated meal bag packed with enough nutritious food for the whole pairing through customs. It wouldn't supplement meals at hotels but it allowed me to never touch the on-board meals or coffee. As long as you learn and follow their convolute...

We were on approach into Regina. The weather was at least 5SM of visibility at 5,000ft give or take, rain and turbulence. We were vectored direct some fix and the second we rolled out on our heading, we experienced severe turbulence. We were shaking so badly the primary flight display was just a blu...

Re: Are degrees important now?

I think using your post-secondary education to earn different qualifications right now would be worth it. Lots of these diplomas and degrees from colleges can easily be turned into a Bachelor of Education which could give you a teaching job to fall back on in the future.

Re: AC/TRZ Transaction Approved by TC - $5 per Share

I want a serious straight faced answer as to why some Transat pilots expect the Air Canada pilots to happily share the pain of lost Transat pilot jobs. As a Transat pilot, I was devastated to hear about Sunwing ceasing operations. As a Transat pilot, I felt the pain of old co-workers being laid off...

Re: PTR definition

Here is my take on the situation. I have asked Transport Canada in Ottawa about Form 26-0313. It doesn't exist. It is named in a regulation (standard to be exact) as something that is required, but no such form exists. So, the layout, the way a PTR is filled out, the pages, the P's before D's then b...

Re: PTR definition

Great question!

I've e-mailed TC Publications about this one about a year ago, no such document or book exists in their database. Transport Canada does not publish a form 26-0313.
