Re: Whats your Shortest non stop flight?

Personally, a 5km flight from a nursery where I bought a Lavender plant then back to CNY3. Although I met a guy once who was called in on his single Beaver to transport barrels of something across a trench. The trench was 10m wide and they had no way of moving the barrels across it. So, he landed on...

Throwing this out there, they ended up doing an ILS approach at EWR on their diversion. I listened to the whole audio.

Re: Buttonville Tower set to close in July!

Quite possible, yes. Although I can't imagine too many scenarios where you'd be vectored that far out and be at 3000ft. If that were the case, it'd probably be too IFR of a day for GA traffic. My $.02

Re: Buttonville Tower set to close in July!

Thanks linecrew! Had I paid any attention to the notification I got saying you wrote before I submitted my post, I would have avoided the double post. That being said, what is the general expectation for people to have when flying and being familiar to all products? If I walked in for a flight to YK...

Re: Schedule

Lots of variations depending on what you like or can hold. I personally front or back load my schedule to have pairings with 1 or two days off in between then a week plus off at once. Usually 12 to 15 days off a month. YUL guys who are YYZ based may like 6 day pairings to minimize a commute, some YY...

Took a photo of this ATIS the other morning. Probably the funniest ATIS I've seen in a while at YYZ. <Slow Clap>

Side note, great job to the controllers for moving as much as they do within the boundaries they've been given.

Re: Centre controllers sectors

Check the CFS in each respective FIR. For example you can look up Toronto in there and one of the pages will list all the enroute control frequencies. The same goes for each FSS.

You can also just look up a near by airport and see what the PAL or CTR freq is in the CFS.

Re: Passenger safety review Vs. Passenger safety briefing

For me... The briefing as outlined in Exercise 2 should commence before you even step foot onto the apron. Take your passengers and quickly review apron safety like don't walk into props or stay away from airplanes with the red beacon on. Once at the airplane, review the applicable safety items begi...

I can personally tell you the owner has admitted to conducting aerobatics in the 150. He bought it for dirt cheap from Quebec and brought it over to Toronto. Yes, it's cheap, but you get what you pay for most likely.

If I remember correctly, if an authorized person denies a rating or license, he/she must inform Transport within some amoun...

That's a flight school aircraft. It isn't block time.

Re: Where the foodies at!?

Add these to your list: There's a dozen restaurants within walking distance of the Windsor Airport, just take your pick. Saray would be my new favorite choice near the airport though. You know what isn't a good idea though? Flying to Windsor then taking the courtesy car at the FBO across the border...
