As far as traditional corporate flight departments go there are none in YYZ that I know of that offer rotational work.
Fractional or charter outfits may be different. AirSprint has been advertising a lot this last year and they seem to offer two weeks on two weeks off or something like that.

Re: Great news for the Global 7500...
Canadian regulations allow it for private operators. I’ll assume this plane was US registered. Does FAR part 91 (private operators) even have duty limits? I don’t think they do. Extension of Flight Duty Period [SOR/2018-269, s. 18] 604.101 If a flight crew is augmented by at least one flight crew me...

I remember and old guy married 50 or 60 years asked if he and his wife had ever thought about divorce. His reply was "Divorce? Never! Murder yes but divorce never".

If you're in the IFR game, approach charts show the PAPI info as well.

Was Wasaya still taking cash bonds from people leading up to all this mess? Are the laid off people getting their bonds back?

Really you're concerned about yourself? Sorry but that's rather selfish. Maybe you should go visit the poor guy in the hospital and wish him a full recovery. Also go on Wikipedia and learn a bit about Ebola.
Unless you're being sarcastic?... In that case ... good one? I dunno. Whatever.

Re: New 703 flight duty times
If you're in the airline industry, or don't fly out of remote places, sure, it's probably a good change for you. Unfortunately, this one-size-fits-all approach just won't work... Yes I fly a jet crossing time zones. However the time of my career where I flew most tired was 703. Which statistically ...

Re: how can I improve my landings?
I don't know about the experts here, but I'm not sure I could tell you what 30' above the ground looks like - I've never stopped to measure it; and anyway I'm usually too busy landing an airplane. 30 feet is about twice the height of the windsock adjacent the runway. Or if you're in a small Cessna ...

Re: New 703 flight duty times
There's a call for comments at the end of the document. We have until October 3 to send our comments to carrac@tc.gc.ca . I think we all need to send notices of opposition to this thing ASAP. It's 2014. Time to admit our FDT regs are pretty archaic. Just because it's always been done this way doesn...

Re: how can I improve my landings?
Another important consideration is your seat position. Maybe you're sitting too low and what you and your instructor see outside are two different things. This is an important consideration that is often overlooked by inexperienced instructors. However it's tough for you to come on here and get advi...

Re: Free CJ3 or Citation 560 type-rating
The type rating is the hard part. Or at least it's the expensive part. A PPC ride is just a fight test. Could be done in the airplane so you wouldn't have to go back to the sim for it. Remember that often you hear of people with less than half a brain going to a sim company and paying out of their o...

Re: Free CJ3 or Citation 560 type-rating
A type rating is required for certain aircraft based upon the type certificate of the aircraft. A type rating is obtained after completing a training course and a qualifying flight at an approved training organization. General Flight Safety, Simcomm etc. A PPC ride counts as a qualifying flight. So ...

Re: Free CJ3 or Citation 560 type-rating
Nope I worked for what I got. Is there any attachment to any company that will hire you or do you just go screw around in the sim for hours on end. Who does your test, I've never hear of getting typed without being PPC'd and if your not attached to a company you can't get a PPC. Does that mean you ...

Saw news coverage of the story this morning. She was clearly wearing an Air Cadet uniform. Sure looks like it could have ended much worse. Plane certainly looks totalled. Hope she recovers quickly and isn't scared from aviation!
