Re: These new duty rules are going to be complicated…
News Flash! Corporate and Management companies are not Airlines and don’t normally come with the month schedule that Airlines can easily manage! These new regulations are proving to be a bit of a headache to manage, especially if you are flying a mix of overseas and continental and then throw in som...

Re: Chartright
No they don’t. There are lots of variables involved based on the machine, the type of flying and frequency. Some crews hardly fly, some fly a lot and there is a large range in between. I suspect this is why many companies like this don’t have a pay scale. I’m also a believer in negotiating your own ...

Re: Sky Service Business Aviation
Yes I’m aware of the registry. What I’m saying is that Chartright manages all of their Canadian planes plus their US operation ones too for a total of some 54-55 total with several on the way. Sky has 54 on the T.C registry, but a few of them are private flight operators on Sky’s OC,(or so I’m lead ...

Re: Sky Service Business Aviation
Doesn’t Sky Service have a few private flight operations piggy backing onto their AOC? so the numbers are a little skewed? I was told Chartright currently manage somewhere in the mid 50’s with several more on the way. But I think this includes N registered. Either way, it’s great to see business Avi...

Re: Jumping from airline to corporate?
Yes Chartright has been raising pay and pushing for 3 crew operations. It’s going in the right direction. There are some growing pains but the CP seems to be trying hard to fix it.

Re: New yyz slots..this is gonna hurt!
Wow easy tiger! Thank you for the explanation Securitas, although I'm not convinced you were going for sarcasm. My comment was not an attack on ATC, mearly an observation, hence why I put "it seems" in my comments. I'm glad you explained how it all works. Now I can explain to my little VIP why his s...

Re: New yyz slots..this is gonna hurt!
We had a slot allocation back into YYZ for 10pm the other night from YOW. Called clearance about 8.30 for a 9pm departure and was told because of flow, our new wheels up time was 10.49pm! Then listened for the next 2 hours whilst every AC/Encore got the requested time they wanted with no more than 2...

Re: Private air strip and Hanger for rent
Yeah I saw this place too, looks really sweet. Did you see the video tour on the Realtors website? I wish I had that kind of cash too!!
I'm looking for a place in that area, but haven't found a good agent to work with yet. Is your agent any good?
Good luck

Re: Brampton Flight Club Instructors
avia_avia Sorry to hear that you feel this way. As it has been suggested above, it's a good idea to discuss your concerns with the CFI. I was a Flight Instructor at Brampton, but left about a year ago, so I'm very familiar with who is who. I have sent you a PM. I hope you get things sorted out. Spee...

Re: Brampton Flying Club
Wow I can't believe all of the negative comments about Brampton. I doubt all of you have personally experienced these things, but perhaps they are from something you have heard or read. The people who have personally visited Brampton seem to have nothing but good things to say about them. If you lo...

Re: Brampton Flying Club
Aviator777- I think having read your last couple of posts, I would suggest that the CFI knows you better than you think, and 2 minutes is all he needed. Read my post again, especially the last bit. Aviation is a small world and it's funny what can come around and haunt you. Remember your student cou...

Re: Brampton Flying Club
Aviator777 - I would read your post again, and then think about why you didn't get hired. As for hiring, the CFI likes a diverse group of instructors an will hire from other schools, as well as BFC graduates. However, as with any CFI/Chief Pilot/DFO etc, he has to also like you. And for those of you...

Re: Seneca Certificate vs. BFC flight college.
C-GOYR, Both schools have their pros and cons, so it is really down to your personal circumstances. Seneca is government subsidised, and you end up with a degree (applied) - all good, but it will take you the best part of 4 years to complete. BFC is a one year program which gets you a Diploma in Avi...

O.k good point, the rest of the world does have good programs, but I wonder how good they were when they started. I understand why everyone has reservations about these low time guys but lets just see how they get on - I think this is a trial run after all. I just hope that the anger is aimed more a...

Hi redhawkdown, Just thought I would let you know that I am in the Brampton Flight College this year and I am really happy with my choice. I am new to this forum and I am not sure what others have said about Brampton, but from my own personal experience the diploma program has everything in it that ...
