Re: Air Bravo/Thunder Airlines
Just saw this post, had to raise a glass to Bob M. I never worked for him but always had a fondness for how he treated people; it gave me hope when I was a low timer that not all operators were scuzbuckets and that a little hardwork would soon be rewarded.I hope he's on a sailboat somewhere loving l...

Re: Embry Riddle or other US university for aviation degree
I'm fortunate enough to already have the career I want at a major airline here in Canada, but I never completed university and I want to have that higher level of education (for personnal satisfaction, potential careers moves, etc.). I was looking into some of the online bachelors degrees that ERAU...

Re: I want to become canadian bush pilot , am an indian !
Talking seniority numbers and quickest ways to airline seats to someone just starting out seems like such a disservice, almost sad. Some are going to put the blinders on and say airline or bust, but I'm not going to be the one to hand them the blinders. NS, You're right, once you're in the seat, the...

Here is the history of that ship. Didn't want to detract from this great thread. Really enjoying it.

I got slapped on the pee pee a few months ago from a controller for doing just that. I hit the ident when asked and then was asked to "acknowledge their transmission". I said "IDENT *** 293" but didn't hit the ident button again. Was the controller not hugged enough as a child? Imagine that, a cont...

Maybe if they took their damn faces out of their phones and actually listened to the safety briefing, after all it's given in at least two or even three languages at that airline, and I know from experience what languages they understand...seriously...these people are lucky to be alive... No excuse...

Re: I was genuinely embarrassed for them
Couldn't believe this. There I was on a gorgeous day up in the flight levels, not a cloud in sight, when a flight checks in with ATC not far from my position and requests a block of altitudes. Now, bear in mind that this airline checking in exclusively flies a type that's well known for its docile ...

I was doing 12+ legs per day, did a daily log, and had no issues. What would they recommend a jump pilot do? That's just silly.

The Niagara Region has been pitching YSN-YTZ service lately too. 8 minute commute to downtown doesn't sound too bad if you could afford it!
Also, can I have a job at your Dc-3 Muskoka Flying service?

Our birds pay my mortgage and our depatment only has two, with parts slowly becoming scarce. It's my livlihood and the tool of my trade, so damn right a little mechanical sympathy is in order. However, I treat rental cars like I own them too. Just an upbringing thing.
