Lad I am currently flying the E2 with says he sat 4 months on RSV before getting his first block here in June.
YTZ FO is very heavy on FOs, so yes the RSV timeline would be higher due to that.

Re: Keewatin Pilots New CBA?
You don't think they are proud of a contract with no vacation till year 4, training outside of scheduled blocks and a paragraph that basically allows the company to do whatever they want? Ahhhhhh, it just like here at Porter. Company does what they want because the FOAG is flexible

Re: Not surprised...
Sry how’s this on the Union? Company informed them that layoffs and base closure are occurring. Union informed pilot group with as much advanced notice as possible. That’s Fact and is occurring. If they waited for company email and town hall than you would sit here complaining you didn’t get enough ...

Just wait until you hear why they’re doing this… Go on …. if you're on the town hall, you're hearing about it right now. So what’s the word? Hopefully all you lads will be ok. While everyone bashes Flair (myself included), no one wants to see there fellow colleagues get laid off.

Re: Flair Marketing dept.
If Flair is laying off pilots what happens to the cadets that have just paid $160,000 for their training at Genesis? Will they be taken on by Flair? Quite frankly, if someone paid that kinda doe for a licence/job (especially after all the warnings on such endeavour) than good luck to them in a Nava...

Re: It’s Time - Back on track
Union is bad, really bad. They can easily through you under the bus. During and after the plandemic we saw all time high claim against unions for improper representation that were found justified. Too many went in bed with the employers without attempting to fight it. I personally, on a different m...

Re: E2 Upgrade time/Interview call back
With that kind of time, realistically you are at minimum 2 years to upgrade. That said, you will make a very good buck (first years are easily doing 100k with block growth and abit of OT) in the right seat flying to some pretty awesome spots.
I can not comment on how long to hear back.

Yo bro live on base Such dumb advise. I’ve lived in YYZ and and wanted to shoot myself. How is sitting in standstill traffic for gawd knows how long any better. As for best companies for commuting. There is one rule I highly recommend and that is the best commute is with the company you work for. S...

Re: YUL Base on E2 for DEC
You will 100% be YYZ based but for how long is the question. Flying in YUL is tough to gauge, so I think it will be abit before a transfer especially since others want the position as well. You will have access to our RJP/Commuting program on day 1 of employment as well. Just have to write into the ...

Re: Dash to E2 transfer after 2025
No one knows the true answers to these questions. Simply put, the company will not stop the flow program, organization for the flow is out of whack, especially for captains on the dash going to the e2. The FOs it seems a little more clear, when you’re seniority number is up you’re free to go (ish),...

Re: Anyone has an insight regarding the WestJet Group YYC Recruiting Event?
Encore fixed its wage problem in 2023. The issue with Encore is that there is no flow to mainline and poor maintenance . Both of those issues are caused by Onex's desire to squeeze as many pennies from the airline as they can. Employees don't like the company the way they did ten years ago. Custome...

Re: External E2 hire and Seniority
Depends on the fleet.
The lowest timed FO i've flown with on the E2 was in the 22-2500 hour range, where on the DH8 they go significantly less.

Re: Dash GS and base
Interesting I thought since we are all in the pool that means we are all qualified and seniority will be the only factor. Anyway if there's actually GS in March then probably we will hear from HR soon. If your in the pool, you don't have ANY seniority. You're simply a pilot in a pool who has gone t...

To anyone on here who is bitching about the job Charlene did, it’s time to put your money where your mouth is and step up.
Seems everyone here could have done better, so step up and walk that line in 3 years time. Find out what it means to represent the pilot group.
Well done Charlene,

My previous post wasn’t meant to be disrespectful, sorry if it came across that way. I was just curious since you aren’t unionized, could things like training costs and perhaps YOS from a different carrier be negotiated prior to being hired. I'm sure it could. Try it out an let us know how the conv...

I’m sorry but $20 per lift for compensation. Bahahaha
If any pilot accepts to pay for their 182 check out and than be paid $20 per lift, do us all a favour and please quit the industry
