Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share

Same could be said about any other stock right now. People focus on the stock price so much that when EVERY stock has plummeted they don’t look at the market for what it is, only the individual one they want.

All the training is hat would normally be conducted prior to ppc is needed.

Quick search of CAR 704.115(training) will get what you need. The exemption might be in the CASS, can’t quite remember

What job security? If I and my colleagues had job security we would be at work and hundreds would be layed off at AC instead. So do tell, what job security am I enjoying as I apply for EI due to ALL operators shutting down?? I've stayed out of this topic for quite some time, but cannot anymore. I am...

So DerateNO starts a new name in February this year and literally comments on every topic on this site with not one good thing to say. Its clear that he his very new to AC which makes him feel superior and has no idea how this world works. The only way to get rid of a rat is to ignore the rat, just ...

Companies Laying off.

As there is much discussion ongoing about layoffs and going to be literally couple thousand pilots out of work, I thought it would be good for everyone looking for work to have an easy spot to go and see which companies are conducting layoffs to save the individual time from applying to said company...

Do you have a reference for this? If this is the case, it’d be the first time I can remember a small operation not being able to whether the storm.

Wasaya has triggered the lay-off mechanism in the collective agreement.

The fact that northern operators are not safe says it all.

Couple things with this post. "Take what we get and be happy". Actually thats generally the mentality around here provided its fair. If you think any TS pilot will take bottom of the list and be happy well than we'll see you in Arbitration, however if an agreement on a fair formula like 4/1 as you m...

A good family friend was on that aircraft and as can imagine is quite shaken up. Sounds like they hit a snow bank on departure.

So after all the bragging you did about how awesome things are, you left in the end. Where are you now, Westjet?? Also, the # of days worked is one of the number one things folks don't consider. Flying bigger planes, generally means you will work less days unless you are at swoop (had to :smt040 ), ...

If Keewatin joins ALPA, you will have the majority of the medevac for Manitoba and Nunavut under one union that’s a start.

Just to clarify one aspect, the rolling duty day in Manitoba was abolished with the last Perimeter shut down.Prior to this, all operators ran a 14 hour shift followed by rest period which is what Perimeter now does.

I don’t know anyone that is protective of any flying. Asking a question about scope and responding that way is juvenile. Also, your right. Scope can be reopened and changed, but do you really want the company opening what AC pilots have fought tooth and nail for, for so long. Personally, I’d keep th...

Lets get a couple things clear. 1) The Encore pilots negotiated to have the top up pay. No, the Encore pilots were not worried at all about any Westjet OTS hire as they are not on the property yet. The company didn't institute a top up pay what so ever, rather the pilots pushed for it as the Encore ...

I flew with my original DC 10-13.4s for years until I bought ProX in 2013. My current company just provided me with the latest version, the ProX-2 and it is an amazing headpiece. I have flown everything from a pistons, to various jets with them and have zero complaints on it. If you have access to a...
