Re: Any Update On The New Contract?

At least it's not as bad as the dog shit sandwich Encore accepted. Mmm, I have to disagree. Encores overall contract is significantly stronger than the Flair one from the get go. Yes the last agreement doesn’t have a big enough pay bump, but it is a Q operator after all and they are all under paid.

Re: Why everyone runs to AC?

The first 4 years flat pay is dog shit, that's why negotiations for a new contract are underway. And to be honest, even we don't get a "World Class Contract" the majority are staying, and new pilots will continue to join. The unmatched job security and pension benefits at AC are significant factors...

Re: Any Update On The New Contract?

So yes that's the pay being offered but at 75 mmg. That's the end of the good news, unfortunately as with all things Flair, they want us to take concessions to get it. I'll wait and see how the town hall goes before deciding how to vote. First marginally negative comment about Flair from Co-joe, wo...

Actually I have, and at 8.7 hrs my arse was sore. ahaha. That said, I do agree as the bus seats were significantly better.

Re: YVR destinations

What is the E2 like to fly in terms of comfort and spaciousness? Plane is fine, fun bird and well designed over the originals. Flight deck could have been extended by about 6-12 inches which would have made all the difference for when someone is in the jumpseat. Nobody in the jumpseat than it’s lik...

Re: Any Update On The New Contract?

If that garbage of a contract wasn't voted in, you would not have to worry about mid term raises as you would already be near the top.

I wonder if the company is going to give up trip and duty credits this time, probably not but one can wish.

That is who I immediately thought of. Them or Pivot as they got a few DH8 now and who the heck wants to work there.

Re: YVR destinations

Curious to know why you find a yyz-sfo or yvr leg that bad? Is it because of the E2? Or is it simply because it's too long time wise, and it wouldn't matter what plane you were doing it on? It doesn't matter what I'm flying. After 2.5 hours I'm ready to be on the ground. The E2 is great. Except for...

Re: The end of Flair?

The company is aware that there is a problem with online payments but isn't saying much other than the fact that they are working on it and should have things up and running by the end of today. There's been a few email about it throughout the weekend. Of course they are aware of it, there are in d...

And now approved for ETOPS 120 120 is a huge up gauge and will help for Dominican, etc but on Hawaii it wouldn't as there would be roughly a 600nm section uncovered. - Deleted and reposted due to misunderstanding Yes you’re right. Two hours not quite enough, but certainly a start. ETOPS 180 I think...

Ah gee tanks 4 teaching praper grammer and tanking de time and 4 nothing and ading noting to DIS discustion. 5 years seems long, maybe they should come to Jazz. Left seat jet within 3 years. There I added something, happy? 5 years to $171,000 on the E2 3 years to $107,148 on the E1 I think I'll sta...

Re: Cargojet or Flair?

Hi, Quite a new pilot here with some jet experience. I had the luck to get an offer from both Cargojet and Flair Airlines but hesitating between the two of them. Context, I was employed by Lynx Air and got furloughed as they stopped operations, but it seems that Flair are pretty solid (even though ...

Re: Dash to E2 left seat upgrading

FOs are now restricted to 3 a month plus new hires have a 2 year fleet lock on type although that may have changed as of late. Exactly. The 3 a month includes FO's, it is not just Captains. I’m confused, I’m hearing 2 years, and I’m hearing 5 years. I’ll take the worst of the two in consideration a...

Re: Dash to E2 left seat upgrading

Just for more clarity though, the company only transfers Dash captains to the jet at 3 per month. So unless you have seniority, it'll be a looong time until moving over. Just to clarify more, the MINIMUM is 3 transfers per month. Presently that’s what they are doing. He is not wrong, any pilot to w...

Re: E2 new hires

You should be able to get a full block within a few months after line check. Really at this point it is just until those below are line checked so shouldn't be too long. Reserve is assign on least block disruption and reverse seniority (i.e, think best fit). If the senior pilot has least block disru...
