Re: Cargo TA

Surplus list...so you enjoy getting paid while doing zero work. And hustling on the side. Good job on VPFO for promoting socialist zealots like you. Fyi, Flair and swoop are paying all their pilots...on CEWS. Higher than us furloughed pilots which are getting zero. Get your facts straight. Guess it...

Re: FP60 update Federal Court of Appeals

Fanblade and others: THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CHANGED THE AGE 60 RULE, READ IT AGAIN. The age discrimination age rule change, affected over 880,000 Canadian's. (Federal Government numbers) it did not affect just you. The age rule was changed, because......it was discriminatory, period. Suggest you re...

Re: Greenbank airport??

Was out there in the summer to practice soft field TO/LD with my FI. Nice small field, very easy to spot from the air, just saw a white barn with orange pylons. Rwy 03/21 were closed due to construction. From the looks of it it was permanent. Thanks for the info!! Did it look like there was anywher...

Re: Cold Temperature Corrections

Question: With this new CAP format, many approaches have recommended altitudes and hard altitudes shown on the bottom (underlined numbers) When applying temperature corrections, should I be applying it to both altitudes or just the actual published minimum altitudes (realizing that this CDA stuff p...

Re: Encore's Pay and Work Conditions

Not to burst anyones bubble on their race to the bottom theories, nor their "how low can we go?" moans... Many moons ago I got hired on as an FO at a similar (but without the upside) company on a similar (read lower number) aircraft. Working through the numbers it looks to me like at 70hrs (the min...

Re: Air France A340 incident at Paris on Mar 13th 2012

A perfect example of over-reliance on automation, poor airmanship and situational awareness, and poor decision making. Oh and probably lack of hand flying skills which would bias the pilots in favour of over-reliance of the automation. http://www.avherald.com/h?article=45f1317a&opt=0 Dude, you're t...

Re: STAR transitions

You can "plan" to any one of those fixes, just as you can plan "direct" to CYOW (as a waypoint). You will still be slotted into the flow along the arrival. A busy terminal area is organized in such a fashion as to funnel aircraft along those successive charted waypoints. The closer you get to the Do...

Going for a drive...

If you had to choose between one of two cars to put your family into that would be travelling 240 km/h, one was being driven by a person between 28 years old and 60 years old the other was driven by a person over the age of 60, which car would you choose? Make sure you think about the elder driver. ...

Re: CMA = Cowboys Mangle Airplanes

I think that if everybody loves $unwest and their ramp and surrounding YYC movement areas so much the ought to go work there. If you love the $unwest system, go there. If you like the idea of working for CMA and flying a D328 or a B1900D and getting first crack at airline jet jobs, go fly there. If ...
