Re: North Pacific Seaplanes
I didn't mean that I don't respect the weather. I do. A lot. I just mean that if weather is the only reason people can give me to NOT go, then I'll go. If theres something else that I need to know that might make me change my mind, then thats what I'd like to know.

Re: North Pacific Seaplanes
Well, I'm not a chicken about weather, but I'm not stupid either. Some days are good for flying. Some days are even good for landing too!! Any other comments about the company itself? Oh, and why would he have asked for my marital status, age, and a picture. I've been told that its illegal and I sho...

Re: North Pacific Seaplanes
I don't think they hire guys looking for a first job. If you do get on with them you will scare the @#$! out of yourself regularly. You will almost certainly bend an airplane and you might die. They are a good company from what i've heard from others who are working there and have worked there befo...

Re: First Float Job?
Thanks guys for those posts, very informative. Few questions though. I've got 300 hrs and 50hrs floats, mostly a 180, some on a super cub and 1.5 on a beaver. I'm west coast, and would love to stay here, but that doesn't seem very likely, what with the local guys asking for 250 to 1000 hrs on floats...

North Pacific Seaplanes
Hi, just wondering what people think about NPS...Good company? Good place to start? I'm low time, and want to leap at any opportunity, but I also don't want to make a wrong decision.
Thanks!
Thanks!

AME to Pilot?
I just graduated from the BCIT AME(M) program. I have 260 hours TT on a PPL and i'm working on my CPL. I love flying, but an entry level pilot job locally is much harder to come by than an AME apprentice job!! Is it possible to get in a company as an AME and then after a few years 'graduate' to a pi...
