Re: Air Canada and their taxi speed
Windowseat Thanks for that recap. You obviously have not only detailed knowledge of the past process but a much deeper understanding of the financial matters than most including me. Could you please tell me if my layman's brain assessment is more or less accurate: Air Canada spent many years before...

Re: Air Canada and their taxi speed
Quote of the week..."Labor's worst enemy is an unprofitable employer." Let's review some history. Our current CEO was the architect of the plan that withdrew Aeroplan, Jazz and maintenance services from Air Canada and sold them off for 4 billion dollars I believe, not one cent of which actually wen...

Re: Richard Milton Leaving
windowseat Thank you for your excellent insight on Air Canada’s CCAA. Are you employed in the industry or the financial community? What are your thoughts on the price of crude? Rebel Corporate pilot. Re: Richard Milton Leaving
Windowseat That was a very informative post. Thanks for correcting me. However, it is my understanding that Ceberus did not enter the scene until after CCAA had already been entered, and provided the needed funding to exit CCAA. So really, they did not take a haircut. In fact, they received 2 billi...

Re: Richard Milton Leaving
Rudder That is not entirely true. ACE is not made up of creditors who took the biggest haircut. Many many individuals, leasing companies, suppliers, employees, money funds, etc took huge haircuts when Air Canada filed for CCAA and are not the major shareholders of ACE. Ceberus lost nothing as they ...

Re: equipment bid
just a quick question, not to poo poo the 60 rule debate, but, in all reality what are the odds of a new bid coming out sooner than the 6 months and lay offs happening? i just started a few months back and not too many behind me. Brutal way to finish line indoc on the 767 and be told about layoffs....

Individuals keep interviewing, and re gigging of the line continually takes place based on individual scores. It is possible to be new to the room with a real high score and go to the front of the line. It is also possible to have a score barely above benchmark and never get far enough along the li...
