Resignations + retirements. 5 retirements in June/July, + upcoming AR arbitration might affect the numbers.
This is mostly attrition counter-hiring

Re: Sunwing B737 Captain fired for ordering fried chicken
Any assertions that DA was an unsafe pilot are untrue. He is a good pilot, and I know of at least 2 instances where he "didn't leave a crewmember behind". As for what KP is saying, it's true. We don't see it because we are professionals separated from the rest of the world by a door, but the manager...

Re: Air Canada Captain didn't have required license
Personally, after the recent revelation that a single company in India was responsible for over 100,000 fraudulent licences and certificates in various domains, often used for emigration purposes, I pray our police system will use the obvious expertise they now have in differentiating between A and ...

World economy through globalization.
Everyone else's recession becomes your problem as well.
Until our economy decouples from the world through trade and budgetary surpluses, we are equally screwed.
Nobody for Canada to increase trade with, except the United States.

Re: Remove AR, reduce upgrade time?
It will be YUL due to lack of connections to any other point in our network. It’s too hard to get extra crew there if they need more resources. Agreed. There are less than 10 daily flights out of YUL, and only 4 domestic flights (2 to YYC and 2 to YYZ). YUL is a small base too. If we were to close ...

Just in the last 48 hours, in retaliation for Israel bombing the South Fars gas field in Iran, LNG installations in Qatar and the UAE, and oil refineries in Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, KSA, Kuwait and Israel have been hit. Estimates range from 2 to 5 years to get all those critical pieces of infrastructure...

As I alluded to above, if you want to blame Boomers for your troubles, we are in the PRIME BOOMER TO MILLENIAL WEALTH TRANSFER INDUSTRY. Possibly 1 case in future 5-10 years of crews pushing to an accident/incident because of this incentive, vs probably thousands of cases until then when a FCM/FA decides to make a few bills for flying 15 minutes into unforeseen instead of pulling the plug on the whole aircraft down in Cuba. The cost ...

Re: Some flights unavailable on myidtravel
Because WS didn't want to "run the risk of FULLY taking on the route network", the ex-swg flights are all still "charters" and thus can't be booked. Only way is for employees to book on WJ code flights and then "show up early and ask if able to switch". Supposedly a fix is coming in the new year. ma...

Got a chance to fly the plane with the 28in pitch recently. Prior to boarding I went to try out the seat.
Let's just say if I ever have to sit in those rows, the passenger in front of me will be getting a free lower back massage from my knees.
I'm 6'4". Yikes.
