They should be banned here but our government doesn’t care about such things. They haven’t even enacted the new duty regs. They probably see it as hundreds of potential liberal voters to welcome in.
And all financed by George Soros!

Re: Private aircraft import

Not only specific paperwork, specific evidence of compliance but probably most importantly, the correct sequence for submittals, acceptance, etc. needs careful adherence. I have a friend in the US who has done many imports and exports in both directions. Would highly recommend and will send you his ...

Re: Who's gotten a lay off?

I only have personal knowledge for Kenmore Air Service in Seattle. They start lay-offs Monday both in flight and maintenance. I have it from a well-placed source that at Harbor Air loads are down about 40%. Safe to assume many lay-offs are imminent across the industry not to mention support services...

All the major social media sites have had blowback and lost/settled lawsuits for arbitrarily de:platforming and censoring contributors who didn't violate terms of use.
Since this is a minor social media site, I guess the moderators can relax then.

Freedom of speech isn't valued here. Just another corporate erosion of your rights.
Maybe time for review:

Their board, their rules. If you can't abide, your freedom of speech is, I'm sure, welcome elsewhere.

Re: Updated MCAS ‘Safe’ Says MAX Technical Team

As an aside, I came across an interesting article in The New Yorker with a deeper "pulled back" view than most that focuses (mainly) on the change in corporate culture at Boeing over the last 25 or so years. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2019/11/18/the-case-against-boeing Or for audio of the ar...

Re: Top Gun: Maverick

Top Gun came out in 1986. Meaning that in the sequel, Mav's been retired from the Navy for 15 years and is now flying 767's full of rubber dog shit out of Hong Kong for Fedex.

There has been a 3rd floatplane down, though this one is a privately operated one who apparently left his gear down landing on the water & was in Prince William Sound - a long way from SE Alaska where the other 2 happened. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/alaska-plane-crash-cessna-a185f-skywagon-crashes...

Re: Otter / Beaver Midair Ketchikan

Maybe have been true back in the inky void of the past, but since as far back as 1990 anyway, if you want to fly into "town" for fuel, groceries, weed, booze, etc. (Ketchikan, Sitka, Petersburg, Juneau, Anchorage, hell, even Cordova) you'll be needing mode 'c'. I haven't flown up there for 12 or so ...

Mountain Air Service's site is locked, but here an archived link to info about the Beaver pilot / MAS's owner: https://web.archive.org/web/20190402230403/https://www.mtnairservice.com/about/ Looks like he's been 'around the block' re: SE AK float time. I've not found any info re: the Taquan pilot. T...

Here's a grim litany of the government / industry / lobby shop nexus that was likely at the root of the problem: https://www.seattletimes.com/business/boeing-aerospace/with-close-industry-ties-faa-safety-chief-pushed-more-delegation-of-oversight-to-boeing/?utm_source=referral&utm_medium=mobile-app&u...
