What's the point of logging IMC time?
Like I said to C-HRIS, it may be useful to keep track of your Instrument Rating validity ie. 6-6 in 6.

C-HRIS, Log any time you spend in actual IMC in the "IMC (ACTUAL)" column. Log any time spent under the hood, in either IMC or VMC, in the "SIMULATED" column. (you probably havent spent any time under the hood since your instrument rating, so this column is mostly not used) Log any approaches that y...

Localized Phenomenon The new regulations recognize that certain localized meteorological conditions can reduce the reported ground visibility, thus imposing an approach ban when the flight visibility appears to be much greater. An example would be a localized fog bank that is covering the ground ob...

So if the new CAP GEN has it, doesnt that mean that the new Approach Ban is in effect :?:

Can anyone clarify this?

So I guess it's settled then. In the 14th hour you can get back with 9 or less souls as long as you won't reach 8 hours of flight time for the day. I can't see too many instances where a 15 hour day affords a pilot LESS than 8 hours flight time but maybe I'm working too much for too little. WRONG Y...

Perimeter's flipping through guys like crazy right now.
That's true however the guys/gals getting hired for the ramp right now are looking at about a 1.5 to 2 year wait for a right-seat gig. Good luck on your search.

HAHA just request special VFR 1sm clear of cloud back to the ol' .. runnin days I agree with bushguy. Get down early, if they are still calling for below approach-ban vis, then cancel IFR and request the special VFR. You could also request a contact as well. Right now its hard to figure out how thi...

Actually C-HRIS Watch makers like breitling thought of that and put a saphire face on all of there watches and they cant be scratched. I would suspect the tissot would too. Have had my breitling for 5 years now no scratches! You're absolutely right TAT. I have that same Tissot watch and it has a sa...

Flight Duty Day

Need a little help here. I have been hearing, over the years, from company to company, that your flight duty day starts the moment dispatch or operator calls you. Example, dispatch calls you at 06:00 for a 14:00 flight and therefore your duty day started at 06:00 since that is when you got the call....
