Re: Alkan Air?

Who cares about the landscape. There's published approaches. I've flown in their a few times and you don't need a 1000 hours to do so as a co joe. Way to many idiots on this site imho. But WTF do I know. No wonder so many people with good, valued opinions prefer not to post on this site. I guess I'm...

Re: Man dies while de-icing plane at Calgary airport

Would you not have to be tied off to the basket somehow. I would have thought in this day and age it would be mandatory if your working above a certain height. You've gotta think something like this is preventable in the future. None the less, very sad...

Re: Plane skids off runway in Tuktoyaktuk

To all the haters, i'm sorry it didn't work out for you. That happens everywhere. Don't be disgruntled, don't sling mud, move on and find somewhere YOU fit. Thanks for the advice. Thank god it didn't work out for me. I don't have to put up with shit wages agrrogant people, two months of living in a...

Re: Plane skids off runway in Tuktoyaktuk

Yep, I have to agree with you TukU. Never worked with so many heroes before in my life. Maybe it will bring some of them back down to earth. Glad to hear no one was injured other than somebody's ego. As some of you have pointed out if it was any other company people on here would be all over it. Any...

Re: Getting out of the bond???

I would say if you really have good reason not to pay the bond then walk out on it and let the company take you to court. If they have screwed you like you say they did then any reasonable judge should understand this and would probably agree with you. Otherwise stake your case to your company and s...

Re: Getting on at Kenn Borek

Well at least some of you folks can see where I am coming from. Borek is not THE company especially these days. I just looked in the job ads and Summit Air is looking for ground personnel. This company will get you WAY further ahead in 1 year than 3 years at Borek will, and they will pay you far bet...

Re: Getting on at Kenn Borek

No problem Rowdy here's a few,

Summit Air, Air Tindi, Alberta Central Airways, Sunwest, North Caribou, Courtesy Air, Calm Air, Perimeter, Wasaya

If your heart is set on Twin Otter's, go to Yellowknife and your chances are pretty good for getting on one and you get a great variety of flying.

Re: Getting on at Kenn Borek

Guys, do yourselves a favour and look for another job. I met way too many people at my time with Borek that would apply every week only to finally get the job and quit 6 months later. There is way greener grass out there these days. Going there as a low timer is a waste of time. You will be in the r...

Cat, going there on a holiday with some nice arm candy is one thing working there is another. It maybe ok if you have fresh ink on your liscence but they pay those wages right up until captain. Rudder I do not work there anymore and never will again I have moved on to a much better place, just tryin...

Re: Off to the Maldives Thanks Everyone!

Anyone who comes on here and says that $1700/month is not that bad should have their head examined. It is horrbile money in this day and age, never mind the fact you won't see your family or friends in 6 months and you are 7000 miles away from home. No wonder companies get away with paying such shit...

Re: Off to the Maldives Thanks Everyone!

Well maybe you should ask anyone there then Rowdy. If you think you day starts when the sun comes up you are completely wrong. You have to get up at 4am to get ready then walk 20 minutes to the dhoni, catch the 5am dhoni over to the airport take a 10 minute bus ride from one side of the airport isla...

Hey Rowdy, here's some quote's from a couple of your other posts: 4500 a month.. come on!! I bet most of the turbine FO's out there don't even make half that!! and THAT is something we should be bitching about.. and If you guys read any of my posts you'd see me slagging on a couple of companies that...

Re: Maldives Good? Bad? Kenn Borek

Maldives is a shithole. The pay for an f/o is even shitier. Works out to about $7/hr or $1700/ month. You will work 14 hours a day 5 days a week. Captian pay is a little better, starts around $4000/month. Still very shitty in my opinion for the amount you work and where you live. The company in gene...

Re: Is the music stopping?

I don't beleive we are in for anoher big one. Why? Because in 1929, the government couldn't fiscaly react to the economy like it can today. It was more of a free market then! Today, if anything like that happens, the U.S government will start spenidng like crazy & start creating new jobs! They will...

Re: Is the music stopping?

The way you asked the question about "how I am doin in 2008", shows that your most probably a short term trader. To be honest, I haven't made a single trade in 2008! I am a very patient trader, & I have invested wisely in energy companies! So to answer your question.....let's just say, I won't need...
