Re: Dellen Millard trial
And what exactly does the Gospel of John have to do with your rant about rehabilitation in the prison system, or criminal proceedings, or the justice system in general? And what exactly does drugs in prison, and big bubba, and gangs and physical abuse and fear of being knifed etc. have to do with r...

Re: C-Series now controlled by Airbus
Canadian gov was begging bombardier to not sell Q400 to China ! Boeing or airbus or both would have assured the c-series demise too many manufacturers in that class of A/C

Re: C-Series now controlled by Airbus
What I've been told is that Bombardier is selling the Q400 division in its totality to a buyer in China. After the Canadian Federal government asked Bombardier not to sell the CSeries to the Chinese who offered to purchase it --a program so heavily ladden with new technologies-- Ottawa let it be kn...

Re: C-Series now controlled by Airbus
Still cannot see China or Russia as serious contenders to Airbus and Boeing anytime soon. Maybe in 50 years? So, the hype about China taking over the industry, or even making a dent, remains hype. NAA, Cannot see any products being sold to Canada cheaper than we can make in Canada and of GOOD quali...

Ha! A City Express fellow from the past! Flew the Dash 7 for them in the late 80s before moving on to better things. My memory is quite dim but when Arkia ? airlines maintenance were "helping" the City Express AME s after the purchase of the Dash 7 A/C , One day a Dash 7 came in from Montreal and I...

Re: Dellen Millard trial
As far as Millard is concerned: fair trial, and then let him rot. I'm sure, if he has any level of intelligence whatsoever, that the knowledge that he'll never again be a free man is enough to punish/torture him for the duration.. It doesn't work that way. Prison is a whole new life and filled with...

Re: Flashing a Generator
Electrical Generators rely on current through the field windings to provide the magnetic field required to generate electricity. The field voltage is provided by the voltage regulator which in turn is supplied by the generator output. To get the whole process started, many (older) aircraft generato...

I think that crazy is sitting at home in his mom's basement advocating for capital punishment - thinking that people who kill other people are worthy of the death penalty. Look at our penal system, its a joke! criminals going in are more criminalized when they get out, their minds and hearts are mo...

Re: Dellen Millard trial
If I set off a bomb and kill 100 people , should I go to jail for 100 times the amount of time than if I killed 1 person? Premeditated murder should fetch a maximum penalty regardless of the number of persons killed. On a side note, Canadian Baal Corp ( CBC) just reported ( it was kept secret from M...

Re: AC in SFO. Again...
From experience, I have found that when cleared, say no 3 on final...follow the Bowbus in front. There is still chatter on the radio from the tower clearing the arriving aircraft in front off the runway, or clearaces to aircraft following etc. So it would seem strange that suddenly things were quiet...

Re: Dellen Millard trial
While I agree with you in principle, Millard is already a convicted murderer. So now this piece of dog excrement gets to examine the innocent girls father and rub her life all over his honour AFTER he has been sentenced to 1st degree murder ( premeditated over a friggin lust for a truck ) Justice??...

This one may be excusable IF the pilots didn't lie about finger trouble, however, the SOO incident was not soo excusable !

Re: But was the fuel guage serviceable
Annually, commercial aircraft fuel gauges are required to be checked for calibration and calibrated if necessary to assure that E is actually empty. I calibrate and/or do a capacity test and calibration chart for every A/C that I have owned! Costly components for a commercial A/C or a lazy AME are n...

And then there are pilots who live in their parents basement who have done little more than circuits and point A to B in their life, accusing others of being liars and not following all the rules!
