Re: Air Canada Interviews

One month since the "viewing". No letter nor phone call, has anyone had to call them to see if they passed the first round? Did I blow it that bad that they won't send a PFO?

Re: Air Canada Interviews

Think the postal strike would have anything to do with late PFO's? I did my viewing in the first week of June. I might of f'd the pooch. How long is the usual time for the "letter" to arrive? Yes, I am impatient....344 questions later proved it

Can someone please enlighten me as to why a company needs an f/o on a single engine fixed gear light airplane? And please don't tell me it's because you have a much simpler engine to operate with. WTF is aviation coming to. I'm surprised they don't ask for an ATPL as well. Who's going to load/unloa...

Re: Looking for 100% Pure Cotton White Pilot Shirt.

http://www.acutaboveuniforms.com/ The best pilot shirt I have found. Has a built in padded sweat collar which is really comfortable, no irritation from the collar. However, it is not 100% cotton. +1 Expensive shipping but every mod u could want on a working pilot shirt On a side note, what size are...

This type of operation is far from typical provincial Medevacs. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/CFEMT http://flightaware.com/live/flight/CGUAC The long distance trips are brewed well before the actual dispatch time. So, there can be alot of notice. Where else can you be down in Florida one duty d...

Be careful with this guy....has been known not to follow through. Makes you jump through the hoops all for nothing. I'll have to 2nd that one. Around 1.5 yrs ago, I was offered a Capt spot. Get it in writing for the upgrade. Do you have your A's or at least meet the requirements? Does the company have minimum PIC time for upgrades? Otherwise you answered the question already.

Then again, I always go for the pay at then end of the day.

Good luck,

Has anybody had any success with these Headhunters? They gave a fantastic offer, then followed it up by saying, "There is a $2k application fee." I'm far from the shapest tool, but $2k is alot for a job.

How much PIC/MPIC time do you have? At the end of the day.. if your time is all Metro or King Air FO you might (might is the key) be hard up if you want to eventaully become captain one day. Aviation Job Ad's - Hire Me section

Just out of curiosity. Has anyone been successful with getting an offer, or even interest from those postings? There seems to be such a variety of skill levels. Have the offers been way under their skill set? I can picture certain CP's asking a qualified -3 pilot to fly their 185 and so on. Regards,...

I remember when the initial news reports were calling the Air France Toronto overrun lightning induced too. I even called into 680 news and tried to correct them. They didn't want to listen. Lightning seems to evoke some kind of primal fear. Striking without warning, and with no time to avoid it. I...
