Im guessing they look at the exams you've written and seen in which language you did them??
Or maybe french LPI only goes to QC residents lol.

Re: Shopping for flying schools in BC Lower Mainland
Langley Flying School Rocks my friend... i did a fam with them and it was fantastic. It's like a little community by it self and it becomes like a family. Relatively small and fun
Langley Airport's definately a good airport to practice precise approaches on Runway 01/19.
Good Luck !

Re: Time in which to acquire a PPL
I dont mean to be a thread whore here, but looking for the right answers in the right place. Would one recommend spreding out the time in which it takes to complete the PPL, say over several moths or would it be beneficial to do it in a couple of weeks working longer days and busting ones ass so to...

Re: FLIGHT COLLEGE PILOTS V.S. FLIGHT SCHOOL PILOTS.
I went the private route and built hours with my own plane. I found sveral differences between myself and a college grad. I developed better decision making skills because when I had a mechanical issue with the plane or weather was questionable I didn't have a flight school making the decision for ...

Re: New Licence Issued...Why?
Just got a new licence in the mail. Nothing has changed on it...no reason to issue a new one. The only difference is that it now say "Language Proficiency - English". What a waste of time, effort, money, postage, paper...etc. Tax dollars / user fees hard at work. I don't know about you, isn't it ni...

Re: Extreme newbie - looking for advice
Remember all of the schools will say the industry is looking for a lot of pilots ! these kind of schools are in it just for the money and don't really care about your training. Find a school that is the right fit, you don't want to find out at half of your training that the school you're with isn't ...

when I was a PPL student i switched schools, had to wait for my age to meet 17 so that I could get my license, so after my training was done, i just did xc's, upper airwork and trips with my instructor man .. got my PPL at 105 hours, I did start flying since I was 15 though... Don't feel stupid, I c...

are you planning on supporting a family? the early years won't secure you that financial income, not to mention when you fly for the big guys.
But follow your heart cause you'll regret it if you don't !

I personally can't name one operator that flies jets and pays 18 000 / year, and there are many out there. Do you have any info on which company pays that much? Not have to make 18,000/year just to get my head in the door to get a chance to fly a shiny jet.

Re: online ground school
I'd suggest taking ground school. If you're thinking of flying commercially, some basic things need to be taught. Missing out on those things means you're going to have to catch up. Online Ground School for a CPL candidate is not the best choice at all. I'd suggest taking a regular ground school cla...

That sounds about right. Working for a pilot supply store atm, I find nothing more annoying then having to tell a customer "sorry we don't have that map because navcanada doesn't want to send us any" This is extremely frustrating for me and the customer. I don't remember the last time we even had a...

Re: Yes people there is a difference between THEN and THAN.
I'm constantly disappointed by the constant lack of grammar and stupid spelling mistakes on this forum. I find that swapping THEN and THAN are the worst two infractions. example: "Working for Air Canada is way better THEN where I used to work." "If you don't like the union THAN you should not apply...
