Re: Logging PICUS
Your company will have a form to log PICUS if they are approved for PICUS. You log both PF/PNF legs. The captain is still the PIC, and you still log co-pilot time, however, make a notation in the comments section of your personal logbook that it is PICUS. It was also a suggestion (not a requirement)...

Re: Cargojet
People have been hired at CJ as a 727 SO with just a CPL, MIFR and 250 hours, Seneca grad or not. Just apply and see what happens!
And also, "Sky Conqueror" does not have a clue what he's talking about when it comes to Cargojet.

Re: Ah Michael, me lad, aren't you the decent one now!
I got the same treatment from Westjet two weeks ago. No compassion, no "sorry for your loss," just that their policy is no refunds, credit only. And they still charged me $75 of that credit for a change fee.

dave_091, I don't have an iPad or use Foreflight but I do fly a Cherokee 140 with an Asus Transformer using the Flight Plan Mobile app. Keep us posted with which mount you go with! I know some airlines already use iPads for charts, but has TC given approval to private operators to use Foreflight as ...

I like the sound of the "Urban Park" but we already have one Mirabel Airport, we don't need another one in Pickering.

Re: Can anyone get me in Bombardier Family Day tomorrow? May
I haven't been in a few years but at the last one I remember it was "Family and Community Day" If I recall correctly there was no need to provide identification, the gates were wide open. It was a really good one too, they had static displays of every type made at Downsview and a couple of RJ's. The...

Re: West Coast Goose
Hi Bronson, I searched the Canadian Aircraft Registry and NIF's C of R was cancelled in 1994 by Pasco and then cancelled by Hallmark Leasing Corporation in 1998. I also saw that prior to Pacific Coastal, Jimmy Pattison Industries owned it followed by Air BC, which makes sense. There was nothing in t...

I'm with Elliott Moose on this one...sometimes you can't help but be in uniform, but it takes 2 seconds to ditch the tie, bars and red pass. If you're at an airport restaurant or with the rest of the crew, sure, but this guy sounds like he just wanted attention.

For all intensive purposes its the same thing. You should of not let it bother you, your just out to find escape goats for everything! Irregardless of what you think it is, other people will have they're own reasons for pronouncing it that way. I could care less, it's a mute point. You really shoul...

Wow, there is a lot of good info here for ya Flightman. That being said, a few posters have mentioned to you that you are putting the cart before the horse a bit. Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic that you are so enthusiastic and ambitious about a career in aviation but I think at your stage you sh...

Re: Water contaminated fuel.
The flying club I rent from has a policy for the members to only fill the tanks halfway so should the next member want to take his family up it can be done. So a little bit of water from condensation is common. Drain it out and I'm good to go!

Well YQLRookie, I had the exact same thinking as you when I was in high school. I guess you're from Alberta but in Ontario I took French from Grade 5 to 12 at the University entry level. Fast forward a few years and I can barely order at restaurants in French. (I don't have to, I just try...a lot of...

Netflix is GREAT! It took me a while to warm up to it but it seems in the last 6 months they've added a ton of great content. It would probably take me a years worth of down time to catch up on what I want to watch on there. It's fantastic for the road when you've got a hotel with decent wifi so you...

This is kind of confusing...I understand that they're closing the Avitats (Esso FBOs run by Esso) but it isn't very clear about the independent FBOs with the Esso name. I wonder if they will be re-branded or continue with the Esso name.

I always chuckle when I see there "first timers" post some catch/fishy topics on here... $99 "GREAT" fares....did you ever try to drive from Sault to Toronto? How much did your gas bill end up costing you? It costs me about $85 to fill up my domestic sedan and it will take about that whole tank to ...
