Re: seneca program/ eyesight/ tattoos
I saw a pilot with a major Canadian airline with a huge tat around his arm the other day, displaying it proudly with a short sleeve.

Dont go to Perimeter in YTH looking for a ground job. Its all done through HR in YWG. It would be a waste of a drive unless you planned on hitting Missinipi anyways, which is a good start gig from what ive heard. Main office may be in The Pas though

Re: University Degree vs College Aviation Diploma
A few close friends of mine were hired directly from college, well 6 months + after their interview. A graduate from a Aviation College diploma program, id suggest it anyday. Really in depth stuff. However, I believe the get a degree in another field, flight train, and get a ramp spot while finishin...

I had,
Whats the minimum visibility required to taxi at, YVR.
Approach Ban question.
Can we shot the RNAV STAR into Victoria today? No, because we didnt have the Flight director to follow the FMS, moving map, etc. In whatever car that is.
Then we hit the skies

Bedside reading is the best, However, this test also helped a lot in seeing where your knowledge stands. http://www.pdfdownload.org/pdf2html/pdf2html.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fselair%2Eselkirk%2Eca%2FTraining%2Finstrument%2Drating%2FPDF%2FCAP%2520GEN%2520QUIZ%2Epdf&images=no Answers http://www.pdfdownloa...

Re: Bearskin, Thunder Air, Wasaya
Ramp isnt bad. Its not all ramp, check-in, maintenace, there is various spots to fit in. Pay isnt bad, free housing up to half a year, people are going FO in under a year right now. I agree, were pilots. But if i were to just sit here, apply until i find a flying job, highly unlikely btw. It could l...

Re: Where should I apply to start working ramp?
Any company who would put a 250 hour pilot into a 1900, is doing a disservice to their passengers. Please supply the name of the company you use as an example. Some of our family members would like to take alternate means of transportation. :bear: :bear: You realize in Europe they put them in Airbu...

Nelson is great, fun circuit. Castlegar, 15 min flight from Nelson, also entails a fun approach, terminal dining. Easy to hitch hike into town, i dont think there is a "pilot car" to use.
