wrong fitting it was a copper/zinc fitting not extruded yellow brass bar stock, as stated above. try 9151K28.
This is something that the mech just got at homedepot, CT, or local hardware store. so dont expect it to be a med-hi pressure fitting.

Re: What is this fitting?
Because its the wrong fitting. and it would most likely fail.Strega wrote:No one answered.

Re: What is this fitting?
google granger valve boost controller not to derail this thread ;) but a grainger valve fresh out of the box does not make a very nice boost controller. They tend to spike, which if you are running on the hairy edge of stoich is a bad thing. You need to take it apart and move the ball from one end ...

Re: What is this fitting?
There's so many places that npt is used that I don't know what the right answer is. I've personally used them on phnumatic distribution blocks, for oil distribution, to make manual boost controllers, to make vacuum t's... Oh and 1/4npt is standard on most airtools. also some not fittings will come w...

From Akira, So an AME "E" isnt an engineer? Yes an AME E is an engineer but not in the context of being able to run an airplane necessarily. Most E types have never even started one let alone done any kind of power runs. I have yet to find an airline that runs large aircraft that will issue a run a...

From what I understand only m licenses require the aircraft endorsement (type) but this is for the actual release. A S or E guy can get his stamp (ACA) once he gets his license. This entitles the S/E person to sign off on work pertaining to that particular trade but the S/E license can not release ...

I forgot to add this thing..........I can't tell you how many times this thing has done the trick for me. It's especially useful in avionics work but you can use it for everything. It goes on sale for 9.99 all the time too. Probably one of the best tools I own and everyone I know has a set. Masterc...

I forgot to add: Allen keys (perferably ball ends) Flush cutters, for cutting tyraps (nothing worse than working in a tight space and find out someone used normal side cutters and left a sharp edge for you) A few differnt sized slotted screw drivers (im fond of ones with a box blade/hex end incase y...

Akira, your list is pretty good except for the last item....Leatherman??? We are supposed to be professionals here. Musicsaves wants to by tools, not "A" tool. IMHO, a leatherman is for fixing farm equipment and "N!gg#r rigging"....not fixing an airplane properly!! That's my two bits. Musicsaves, i...

why an avionics tech would need to run up an aircraft? Why would it be any different than a M doing run ups? what if you have a bleed snag and a controller/card was changed and the company asked for an engine run to confirm, is the avionics guy less competent, no. The avionics guys have the same en...
