Re: Air Canada staff will no longer greet 'ladies and gentlemen' onboard planes

I think we're all rather confused, fortunately not as confused as Air Canada managment regarding this change though. *shaking head* Air Canada is a supporter of the Liberal Party... Trudoh is pushing his identity/Gender agenda into the skies. We could always say "Peoplekind, welcome aboard" Wrong. ...

Who exactly does ladies and gentlemen exclude? If you are a transgender woman would you not want to be called lady? Same for a transgender man. Please someone fill me in since I think I'm getting old and out of touch with society. Pat... It's time for androgyny... it's Pat! "Ladies, Gentleman, and ...

So Trudeau takes his kids and his entourage to up Iqaluit on the Nolinor 737-200 to spend a day telling the people of the north how he is the best choice to protect the environment. Let's see... Ottawa return on the -200 burns about 19,000 litres of jet fuel. What a climate hero!!!

"Welcome aboard Ladies, Gentlemen, and Others" "Welcome aboard peoples" "Welcome aboard humans" "Welcome aboard non-descript travelling public". I can't believe my kids have to grow up in this shit storm.

Let's not forget Greta is a credited actress with 5 books she would be happy to sell you. Gee, I wonder how her book sales did after her UN/Montreal hysteria.

The Saab is a 4th generation fighter while the F-35 is a 5th generation fighter.
But don't we have a 3rd gen military in this country? ;)

Re: Swoop Pilot Open House & Info Session

Surely Sunwing is great for many pilots that have chosen to work there. No two people like the same thing. I only use stats, as non-emotional as it gets. Is it not true that many Sunwing pilots have left for Swoop? What's their reasoning? F/Os going for minimum left seat time then get the hell out,...

Re: Boeing Max.

The Ethiopian Captain used control wheel force to bring the nose up rather than the nicely placed electric trim switches by his thumb. He forgot about controlling the thrust and then he got tired. In the Lion Air crash the pilot used the electric trim switches many, many times to bring the nose up a...

Re: Canadian/First Air Merger

it's a hard pill to swallow to go from a senior captain to about halfway down the seniority list. With the merge everyone keeps their seats but any roll backs and you might go from 73 captain to right seat on a dash or ATR. 7F has a lot of senior pilots who were working there prior to 5T ever exist...

Re: Canadian/First Air Merger

All mid to junior F/Os leaving for Swoop left seats and a few to Air Canada. A few left for Encore left seats previously. Flight ops integration won’t be for a few years so nothing really changing for us other than uniform and livery when that eventually happens.

Just curious, is the 737 FO job out of Edmonton or Calgary rotational? Could you live in another province and commute?
There are several commuters living in BC that commute to YEG and YYC on the Boeing but it's not rotational.

It's the future of UUULCC... Choose a fare that has 2 pilots and a meal or get the 1/2 price fare with 1 pilot and 1 cookie.

They would have a button in the ground control trailer labeled... "Wake Pilot" and it would send an electrical shock through the driver to snap him/her out of their peaceful slumber.

Re: So even the greatest pilots in the world (Americans) couldn't save you from the MAX...

No, it's not quite the same. The Ethiopian pilots performed Boeing's recommendations exactly... and now they were left with an aircraft so badly out of trim that they could not manually retrim it due to the aerodynamic loads. The Ethiopian pilot did not use everything that was available to him to c...

No airline I have worked at has said it is the Captain's right to taxi at any speed they want.
Big Brother reports over 30 knots and 15 knots in a turn. Captain's call.
