The rings for no fly zone are pretty big and I thought Nanaimo was in the no fly zone. Not sure about Victoria but if Oceon Air is operating, he may get pretty busy and not be able to handle all the ratings. Kelowna - Air-Hart Aviation is a short plane ride away.

I agree with the posters who say the 50 hours is better. Yes, you may know someone to give you a leg up but many of us didn't. I took the 50 hour course and glad i did. The first job I got hired me because the time I had on floats. Did I learn a lot more in the real world of flying- of course I did....

Float plane training - when?
For most of you that have taken your 50 hour course, what month have you taken it? Did any of you go the summer months? A lot of schools seem to be busy with tours then.
