Re: Socialized bidding
We typically run between 85-90% satisfaction scores. The satisfaction score is the number of points you get divided by the maximum number of points you could get if you were awarded everything you want. So basically, on average, you're getting 85-90% of what you bid. I'm curious for those in senior...

Re: Ten year deal
It is indeed complicated, however… Is your new AIP not good enough to to retain jr WJ pilots? What about flow from encore? Not good enough to attract them either? You raise a good point. I don't know the reasons for why younger pilots choose AC over WJ but my guess is that the upgrade times play a ...

Re: Ten year deal
Fact is, there is a growing & worsening pilot shortage. There are simply not enough pilots to meet demand. Jazz is shrinking. Mainline is upgauging with rumours of more widebodies Either industry ponies up or they lose market share to people simply not traveling & US competition It's a bit more com...

Re: Agreement in Principle reached
I hope they are, but 15% generally won't cut it from the wage tables I've seen. 145 ish YR 1 CA at WJ 175 ish YR 1 CA at AC. First year FO a different story. I do hope the gains are better than they sound though! No one makes YR 1 CA at WJ though, with YOS, most WJ pilots start at about YR 10 CA Ex...

Re: AC Pilots Successfully Defend Air Ontario Pilots Lawsuit.
Well, I guess they could have just bent over and took it with the crowbar that was offered. I'm not part of this but some still antagonize by saying things like," Without crunching the numbers too much, just based on my seniority, I would think had they taken BOTL they would be holding left seat 33...

Re: ACPA LOA?
Pilots account for roughly 5-10% of variable costs. Adding overhead costs makes that less than 10% overall. Any savings the company can get from pilots is a cherry on top in relation to other potential cost saving areas. AC needs your cooperation for the planned growth next summer. Don’t think ther...

Re: Easiest "No" Vote to Come to this pilot group to date
You mean like when we turned down the TA and got FOS? You never learn. Go back and check our discussions. Your predictions are wrong and your character assessments are wrong too. You and the p4c are misleading the junior pilots and playing on their emotions. The only other comparison is apparently ...

Re: ACPA LOA?
So you guys are all convinced AC will be back at the table to offer more if their MOA gets voted down? The MEC/NC claims we have all this power and control so if this deal is as important as the MEC says it is, and also important enough to get managers soliciting Yes votes in Flight planning, then ...

Re: ACPA LOA?
So exactly what kind of "gains" where or are you expecting, what would be considered a reasonable gain at this point? It's never going to jump immediately to the remuneration being seen south of the 49th parallel. Fair question. There is no reason it should jump to USA levels of compensation for th...

Re: ACPA LOA?
The 17 year deal at Jazz that you are sh!!ting on included a 60% flow and a max 10% PFO rate. Prior to that Jazz people were PFO’d at a much higher rate. The JAZ MEC used bargaining capital to increase flow that you have clearly used to make it to the NHL. So you might want to thank the ALPA Canada...

Re: ACPA LOA?
I can't watch anymore. They keep calling it "big gains". I love how they keep pushing the 2% pay increase in April still being included as part of the ‘gains.’ It’s embarrassing they think like this. -Jimmy So exactly what kind of "gains" where or are you expecting, what would be considered a reaso...

Re: HELP NEEDED. SHOULD I GO WJ MAINLINE?
I also would have though Jazz would be better in the long run and given better QOL with senority bidding. Also probably more opportunity for management type positions. Correct me if im wrong but WJ has social bidding not senority bidding? Curious to heasr peoples thoughts. I was planning on making ...
